Trump slams McConnell, says senator should attend Biden signing ceremony

Former President Trump slammed Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) in a statement Saturday, saying the Senate minority leader should attend the White House signing ceremony for the bipartisan infrastructure package passed by the House on Nov. 5.

McConnell has touted the infrastructure bill in his home state and was one of 19 Senate Republicans to vote to pass it in August.

However, McConnell said he will not attend the White House signing ceremony for the bill.

“Mitch McConnell has stated that he will not go to the signing of the ‘Non-Infrastructure’ Bill (only 11% for real Infrastructure) or, as it is sometimes called, the Elect Democrats in 2022/24 Act,” Trump said in a statement.

“Based on the fact that the Old Crow convinced many Republican Senators to vote for the Bill, greatly jeopardizing their chance of winning re-election, and that he led the way, he should go to the signing and put up with the scorn from Great Republican Patriots that are already lambasting him,” he added.

McConnell said he would not go to the signing ceremony because he has “other things I've got to do.”

Trump and McConnell were allies during the former president’s tenure, but their relationship soured after McConnell congratulated President Biden for winning the presidency in December 2020.

McConnell later lambasted Trump for the Jan. 6 Capitol riot, saying the former president was "practically and morally responsible" for it.

In his statement, Trump said McConnell has given a “lifeline” to Democrats for the 2022 midterm elections.

“It gives Biden and the Democrats a victory just as they were falling off the cliff,” Trump said. “Our Country is being destroyed while Mitch McConnell gives lifelines to those who are destroying it!”

“Our Country is being destroyed while Mitch McConnell gives lifelines to those who are destroying it!”

So why is Trump busy endorsing assistant Democrats who want to make China Mitch majority leader again?

Trump and McConnell were allies? Maybe on judicial appointments, but not much else. McConnell reportedly gave Trump a list of appointments that could get confirmation. McConnell went with the 30 day delay for many of Trump’s appointments to get a vote in the Senate.

My theory is that McConnell thought he could get rid of Trump but keep the Senate. McConnell is a snake.

Here's what really infuriating: The raw materials that will go to the portion of the bill that actually deals with infrastructure comes from China.

This is such a sad, sick joke.

Trump and McConnell were allies during the former president’s tenure.......NOT TRUE.

McConnell stabbed the President in the back on Soetero’s healthcare bill, the border and the budget..from Day One....and continued to do so, publicly and proudly in some instances, for four years.

McConnell pretty much got everything he wanted out of Trump. He used him every change he could. Those are McConnell judges littered thru out the system. He got his tax cuts, massive spending, etc etc. McConnell is a pimp.

If the Senate needed 20, they would have got 20. If they needed 30, they would have got 30.

More Kabuki theater from DC and we keep on buying the tickets.

I could not agree more. MM should attend the signing ceremony but won’t because he doesn’t want to remind people that he helped push this through. In fact had he stood firm this would have failed. He’s responsible for this monstrosity which will horrifically affect our grandchildren.

Amnesty Senator Hoeven is up in 2022.
So are Murkowsky, Crapo and Grassley.

So far Trump has endorsed Assistant Democrat Grassley.
He’s against Murkowsky being re-elected, but we’ll see if he endorses Crapo and Amnesty Senator Hoeven.

It is time to replace the RNC leadership starting with McConnell and McCarthy. They have wasted enough of Taxpayer’s money.
