Sounds typical of “Upstate..” we are sitting on the richest part of the Marcellus Shale down in the Southern Tier but now with that STUPID ballot proposition that passed, it will never be a part of the clean energy “mix” that Prince Andrew and Princess Kathy are foisting on the populace. It is going to be a cold, long and expensive winter here in Gnu Yak.

My bill has been consistently $65 a month...It was $80 last month for the same usage.

That's. a good thing. Here in Virginia we are forced to pay "small" solar providers full retail price. So instead of getting reliable power from the power plant (about 4 cents and that price is higher than commercial wholesale power) we are forced to buy unreliable power from solar providers at about 12 cents. So count your blessings.

Someone should sue to ban the importation of the solar panels based on the 13th amendment prohibiting slavery.

My provider is a coop, so I own the electric company along with all of my neighbors. We are forced to buy the solar that anyone generates at full retail price because of net metering (Virginia law). Doesn't matter if it is 3-4 times more expensive, unreliable, or needed or not. We have to buy it.
