On Wednesday, Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg claimed the child care plan included in President Joe Biden’s so-called “Build Back Better Act” would help solve the ongoing labor crisis.
Buttigieg told MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” that “a lot of very respected economists” have predicted solving the child care issue would “ease these labor market pressures” and also inflation.

The closure of schools last year did contribute in a big way to this. Mothers (and the majority of parents in the US unfortunately are now single mothers) had to stay home and watch their kids “watch school” on Zoom, instead of sending them to school so they could work. Very few workers actually could work from home last year—only 30% I think I read.
Public school is a national security imperative: the United States needs an educated military, and K-12 schools can and do provide free child care so parents can go to work, helping the GDP.
Pete says it is so hard to get good childcare help nowadays and that is why he is taking the next 3 years off (with pay).
They can make up any lie, say anything, no matter how outrageous and the media will support it as fact.
And the idiots in the public will believe it, if they are even paying attention.
They want your kids in government run schools/facilities from the moment they enter this world.
Is there something wrong with Mothers raising thier own children? Shouldn’t that be our goal, to have more moms staying home and raising thier kids instead of Bureaucrats?
These people really are simpletons. That’s because they never worked in the real world. the theoretical world of academia is all they know.
They want the state to own our children.
OMG these people honestly believe we are SO STUPID as to not realize that 1 year ago there was not a childcare problem AND everyone was working, this administration are complete IDIOTS I don’t give a damn how many degrees they have they are BEYOND STUPID!!!
They want our babies sooner than kindergarten and our women in the workforce.

I BLAME THE LABOR SHORTAGE ON FUDEPACKING POLITICIANS SPENDING WAY TOO MUCH ON UNEMPLOYMENT.
It’s probably part of the problem, but not to the level that Buttigieg is implying.
He just took 2 months off to take care of children and now he wants to throw them to childcare , see I said he would get bored of his new children
