Poll: Majority of Voters Reject $450K Payout to Illegal Aliens, Want Southern Border Closed Until Crisis Solved

A majority of American voters want the border closed to stop the flow of hundreds of thousands of migrants, and they oppose giving taxpayer-funded compensation to those who entered the United States with children illegally, according to a poll through a partnership of the Trafalgar Group and the Convention of States Action.

The poll found that 67 percent of American voters disapprove of President Joe Biden’s plan to pay $450,000 settlements to illegal aliens who were separated — compliant to federal law — from their parents.

The poll, taken between November 1-4 with 1,086 likely 2022 election voters, also found that 55 percent of American voters say President Biden should close the southern border until the current crisis is fixed.

The $450,000 will be the beginning of what illegal immigrants will cost taxpayers. What about medical care, food, clothes, housing, welfare/entitlements, education, justice system, prisons, etc.

I haven't seen any calculation as to the level of crime and terroristic chaos would be spawned in the event such a payoff actually happened. Doubtful many recipients would ever see a dime of that money, even if paid out in installments. Besides opportunists on this side of the border a big threat would be south of the border - cartels and other criminal gangs would threaten the families of the US payees, to cough it all up or else get their relatives mailed to them a piece at a time. That would no doubt happen over lessor amounts too, but for a half million dollars, robberies and kidnappings are a sure thing. Way too juicy to pass up and leave alone.
