Alyssa Farah, an ex-aide to former President Trump, says she's deeply concerned about him potentially running in 2024, believing that, given a second term, he would undermine democracy and "weaponize" the government against his political opponents.
CNN's Jake Tapper said in a recent interview with Farah, who served as a White House communications director and assistant to the president, that Trump "challenged our institutions near to the breaking point," asking if she believed that he would try to impose "some sort of autocracy" if he returned to the Oval Office.
"I think he absolutely would," she replied. "There were things he wanted to do while in power the first time that were well beyond the scope of what the U.S. president should be able to do, but oftentimes it was simply the motivation of simply hoping to win reelection that kept him from doing things. It's very different in a second term, and I think that's what scares me the most."

Edited for clarity/accuracy.
The Hill is colluding with CNN. Two peas in a pod.
This is a classic case of psychological projection.
I think he'd do at least marginally better. He learns pretty quick.
I never thought that he could fix what ails us. At best a reprive. But oh what great fun it is stalling and exposing the skunks!
I don't beleieve there is anybody who could do it better. He has the chops.
Projection, projection, projection...
Whom is weaponizing the government against the American people?! Jailing peaceful protesters for over eight months ... sending the FBI on raids in search of.. a missing diary..... Threatening parents who attend school board meetings that they will be labelled as and treated as domestic terrorists... I do not recall seeing such actions when President Trump was in office.
What makes you think the “top brass” are running the military?
Thanks I was wondering about that.
Uh, I don’t know... chain of command?
I sure hope so.
‘Cuz playing nice sure didn’t work for him.
I certainly hope so. Trump was the worst dictator in history. He couldn’t even get the DOJ to persecute some of the most corrupt agents in FBI history Comey, McCabe or Strzok.
The people of CNN know they started something and are deathly afraid Donald J. Trump will finish it—or them.
So they’ve gotta keep convincing themselves—and their dwindling viewers—that mean ole Trump is going to go back to his terrible ways, so the role they played in the coup was justified.
You do understand that the Joint Chiefs are not in the chain of command. What has the Biden regime via Joe and DOD Austin really done except screw around administratively? Co Comm is controlling the military as far as whether we go to war etc. There is no way they let Joe start a conflict or use a nuke. He is left with his tranny stuff and trying to get everyone jabbed. All 11 Co Comms were appointed by Trump. How come they are all still there?
“Alyssa Farah, an ex-aide to former President Trump,”
Just another lying deep stater.
Product of California.
Poisoned.
Meanwhile, Biden establishes an autocracy, while people imagine Trump is the next Buzz Windrip.
We could have used it summer of 2020. Just sayin'.
Who is this fraud?!
What would you call this?
ROFLOL!!!!!!!
She is worried that Trump might use government…hahahahaha
After Durham indictment it’s clear the US government has already been incorporated into the political arm of the DNC. I mean the evidence is overwhelming, everywhere, and painfully explicit that the government doesn’t want to follow the will of the people.
I am NOT worried about Trump using government, I am worried about the snakes, like this lady, that he hired the first time. Trump gets back in office, he better hire Patriots and supporters.
As opposed to the current tyrany?
