Jean-Pierre made the comment during the White House daily press briefing in response to Fox News White House correspondent Peter Doocy, who asked why the Biden administration is "now considering shutting down the Line 5 pipeline from Canada to Michigan" while oil and gas prices continue to skyrocket.
"So, Peter, that is inaccurate," Jean-Pierre fired back. "That is not right. So any reporting indicating that some decision has been made, again, is not accurate."
"What’s inaccurate?" Doocy asked.
"The reporting about us wanting to shut down the Line 5," Jean-Pierre responded.
"I didn’t say ‘wanting,’" Doocy said. "I said, is it being studied right now? Is the administration studying the impact of shutting down the Line 5?
"Yes, we are. We are," Jean-Pierre replied. "I thought you were saying that we were going to shut it down, but that is not inaccurate. The Army Corps of Engineers is preparing an environmental impact to look through this."
Line 5 is part of a network that moves crude oil and other petroleum products from western Canada, transporting about 540,000 barrels per day. Petroleum is taken from the pipeline in Escanaba, Michigan.
Politico originally reported Sunday that the Biden administration was weighing the potential market consequences of shutting down the pipeline. The report has drawn criticism from Republican lawmakers in Congress, and more than a dozen sent a letter to Biden on Nov. 4 warning against such a move as gas prices surge 50%.

(1) Reports surface of the administration considering some looney-tunes action.
(2) Reporters duly question administration flacks and/or Biden himself about it, and there are prompt denials that the insane idea is under consideration because it’s so obviously insane.
(3) Administration admits the idea is indeed under consideration, and an unhinged Biden will pound his fist in explaining why it was necessary and proper all along because of the sins of the previous administration.
The reality is they know EXACTLY what they're doing - it's their agenda to destroy America on all fronts.

Typical Brandon Administration lying and deceit. Same with the payoff to the illegals. They claim, “The $450K payoff is false.” But, they are planning to pay them off. Just not the exact $450K figure.
If there is anything they can do to destroy us, they will eventually get to it. People should not be shocked by what has happened.
It’s very interesting that someone has empowered the DOJ to settle the matter of paying the illegals who are destined to receive the $450,000 per person. This matter is all about the lawyers representing the illegals, and none about the illegals themselves. The lawyers are going to enjoy huge paydays for their efforts. Why else would someone decide that these matters should be settled instead of being determined in a court of law? This ain’t chicken feed. Oh, and the private lawyers that have been selected have already agreed to donate a portion of their compensation to the Democrat party. Perhaps the “big guy” will get his cut as well.
