George Floyd’s nephew Cortez Rice is threatening Rittenhouse jurors and the judge in the Wright case.

“I ain’t even gonna name the people that I know that’s up in the Kenosha trial. But it’s cameras in there. It’s definitely cameras up in there. There’s definitely people taking pictures of the juries and everything like that. We know what’s going on. So we need the same results, man.”

Showing up outside the Judge’s door.

“Sub 85 IQ animal.”

IQ 85? No, average for black Americans is about 80. His is probably < 70.

I guess they only react when a judge is threatened...

I thought this was against the law. Or does this crime have a value less than $1000, so it won’t be prosecuted?

> You know the F I B is on it, right? /s They only investigate if there’s a “stolen” diary involved.

They should take agents off monitoring all the patriotic sites (no names) and go back to fighting true crime. Not bolstering Leftist positions.

Safety of jurors.....

Yes.
And of witnesses.

In “civil rights” cases jurors much later said “We knew the city outside the court building would erupt into chaos and would burn if we stepped outside what the people were asking for. It was on our minds, for sure.”

The court also has independent authority to arrest the perpetrator and sentence him for contempt of court, correct?

Had he done this in court in the presence of the judge, then yes the court would have the authority. It's called "direct contempt". Since this was done outside the court then it would be indirect contempt and the DA would have to file criminal charges - which certainly lie, by the way.

The question is whether the Kenosha County DA or even the feds will file contempt charges. I'm thinking they won't as those of African persuasion get a sort of heightened legal immunity for this sort of thing. Think Maxine Waters in Minneapolis last summer at the Chauvin trial - what she did was clearly illegal, but the law doesn't apply to her. Similarly, Kamala Harris makes a video and tells black churches to play it and nobody says that these churches should lose their tax exempt status for it. Total double standard.

I never dealt with a closely similar case in my practice previously so I respectfully invite being set straight on that.

Not a mistrial if the jury is ignorant of it

They go home at night. You can absolutely bet that the jurors have heard of threats to themselves and the judge by now.

And if they have less than total confidence in the Government assurances, they may be concerned that their names and addresses will be made public if they vote for acquittal.

Some of them might get angry and vote for acquittal simply in defiance of the threats. I would expect others to cave with the result of a hung jury.

Hey, take it easy on him, he is the smart one in the family! With an IQ of 85 he is admired by them just as Jethro of the Beverly Hillbillies was admired for his 3rd grade education.

“you have a responsibility for the safety of those jurors.”

Well, they certainly have their 2nd Amendment rights to keep and bear an M4 in defense of their part of a free state, just like Rittenhouse. Right?

Seems a prime time for a judge to not just acknowledge that right under highly applicable circumstances, should be taken as far as “right to an attorney” (funny, that’s not in the Constitution...) and, if a juror is unable to procure an M4, order one be issued by the bailiff.

I totally expect the verdict to be a mistrial due to a hung jury with the attention this case has received. This farce should have never gone to trial in the first place.
