November 8, 2021Sing Praise to God
Give praise to the Lord, proclaim his name; make known among the nations what he has done. 1 Chronicles 16:8
The heat and humidity of the Midwestern summer closed in on us all week at the discipleship conference, but on the last day we welcomed a front of cooler air. Giving thanks for the break in weather and the amazing work God had done, hundreds joined voices to worship God. Many felt liberated to sing wholeheartedly before God, offering hearts, souls, bodies, and minds to Him. As I think back to that day decades later, I’m reminded of the pure wonder and joy of praising God.
King David knew how to wholeheartedly worship God. He rejoiced when the ark of the covenant, which signified God’s presence, was placed in Jerusalem—by dancing, leaping, and celebrating (1 Chronicles 15:29). Even though his wife Michal observed his abandon and “despised him in her heart” (v. 29), David didn’t let her criticism stop him from worshiping the one true God. Even if he appeared undignified, he wanted to give thanks to God for choosing him to lead the nation (see 2 Samuel 6:21–22).
David “appointed Asaph and his associates to give praise to the Lord in this manner: Give praise to the Lord, proclaim his name; make known among the nations what he has done. Sing to him, sing praise to him; tell of all his wonderful acts” (1 Chronicles 16:7–9). May we too give ourselves fully to worshiping God by pouring out our praise and adoration. — Amy Boucher Pye
When have you felt free to worship God wholeheartedly? What led you to that sense of freedom and release?
Creator God, we proclaim Your name above all others. You’re worthy to be praised! We worship You!

Hi Kathy, it’s been too windy to work on leaves but hopefully the wind will blow them all into the neighbors yard, LOL.

Good evening, ML...((HUGS))...hope you and Penny got in a nice walk. Was today a play music day at church?
More dull and dreary here today...and it is expected to be below freezing at least for the next week. If it is going to stay cold, we need the snow to start protecting pipes.

I just posted this on another thread. . . .
I’m putting the final touches on my presentation to our county’s 5th Graders who are going to tour the the major cemetery stopping at the gravesites to hear presentations beginning with the Civil War. Both my parents served in WWII and I am incensed with this nonsense going on in our country. They don’t care about the sacrifices that were made so that they have the right to be stupid. It makes me sick.

Howdy, PRO.
I’ll keep my fingers crossed for luck that the wind does its job on your leaves so you won’t have to. LOL
We’re finally starting to get some color around here and a few leaves have started falling.

Thanks for a post to remind me of my 3 years in Wiesbaden, home to Lindsey AS. Very inspiring story of a great pilot and leader and I’m glad to read his memorial got shipped to his hometown after the closing of Lindsey AS. So many changes so quickly after I left in 1981 and all I have are my great memories.

Hi radu!
BTW, thanks for that picture from a few days ago of you in that old WWII vehicle, very cool.
It's been OK weather here but the wind has picked-up lately so it's been hard gathering the leaves, not all of them will be blowing in the neighbor's yard unfortunately so there's more work ahead, LOL.
Son was over last night, we'll head back out to our range this week if the rain holds off.
Anything else new your way?

Glad you liked the pic. It was taken just yesterday and was the icing on an already fantastic day at the museum.
Hmmmmm, should have gathered leaves close to the edge of your yard so they wouldn’t have far to blow into your neighbor’s yard. LOL
I hope you can make it out to the range! It’s been quite a while since y’all have been out there.
We’ve had some crazy weather here. It was fairly comfy then got cold and wet for a few days. The last two days have been gorgeous and the next few days ahead are going to be warm again. Then nippy again next weekend. We’re ridin’ the roller coaster.
They’re FINALLY harvesting the cotton!! They started here Tues. night and just finished our place and Hubby’s cousin’s next door this evening and are across the road tonight, starting on that huge field. They’ll be over there all week, I reckon, then we finally get a chance to breathe freely. Right now, it’s misery to step out the door.
