On Nov. 4, 2021, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid (CMS) released a new Interim Final Rule (IFR) regarding staff vaccination at facilities that participate in the Medicare and Medicaid programs. The IFR requires covered employers to ensure that staff receive their first dose no later than Dec. 5, 2021 and achieve full vaccination no later than Jan. 4, 2022.

12 nurses in my family. 5 of them may be unemployed if this is allowed to stand. 3 are retiring. The other 4 were vaccinated, but they’re adamantly against this. They’re anticipating a massive increase in their workloads.
I told my employer I refuse to disclose my vaccination status to them. They count that as unvaccinated. So I may be unemployed by January.
I refuse to give my private health information to a flunky working in personnel. As far as I know, this is supported by HIPAA laws.
They would be better to require everyone to have already recovered from COVID. That would be much safer for everyone.

Yep. It’s gonna take a nationwide walkout/shutdown to bring these bassturds to heel. A week-long walkout with no tax revenue coming would probably do the trick.

HIPAA would apply between me and my employer in regard to my not wanting to disclose my PHI to them.
