Bonfire night celebrations have returned in the UK...

“Sussex Police confirmed six people have been arrested, including one person on suspicion of assaulting an emergency worker and others for drunk and disorderly.
“Chief Superintendent Howard Hodges said: ‘I’d like to thank the community of Lewes for behaving responsibly and allowing tonight’s bonfire celebrations to pass without significant incident.

I remember celebrating a couple of Guy Fawkes bonfires when I lived in England as a child. I didn’t understand it, but it was nice to stand around the fire with my family. My mother was English and I’m sure she missed that tradition, especially when I think about how I’d miss our July 4th celebrations if I lived abroad.
I remember stickers saying “Come Back Guy Fawkes All is Forgiven”.
