‘On The Verge Of Being Unstoppable’: Democratic Governors Association Abandons Florida 2022 To DeSantis, Report Says
DailyWire ^

Posted on 11/05/2021 4:51:21 PM PDT by matt04

Florida GOP Governor Ron DeSantis, who won a razor-thin 40,000 vote victory against Democrat Andrew Gillum in 2018, has now become such a formidable political leader that the Democratic Governors Association will not give any significant financial aid to any Democrat opposing his reelection in 2022, according to a report in Politico.

Politico reported on Friday: The Democratic Governors Association has no plans to give significant financial help to Florida Democrats as they seek to unseat Gov. Ron DeSantis in 2022, a major setback that will make it harder for challengers to take on the popular Republican. The DGA, which spent more than $15 million in Florida over the past two gubernatorial election cycles, is starting to deprioritize the state and is expected to have a much smaller footprint during the midterms, said two Florida Democratic consultants who have been in contact with the DGA.

“The perception that DeSantis is unbeatable has left national Democratic groups like the DGA to weigh whether they should spend resources in Florida, a hugely expensive state with 10 media markets, or use that cash to help incumbents in cheaper states,” Politico added.

....

On October 31, Politico admitted, “Gov. Ron DeSantis appears unstoppable. A year before the Florida gubernatorial election, the Republican governor has nearly $60 million in the bank. The GOP is on the cusp of becoming the state’s majority party after erasing Democrats’ enormous voter registration advantage. The Democratic field is splintering and support for President Joe Biden has collapsed in the state.”

Show me one state that doesn't have support for Biden collapsing. Even in Dem areas, I never hear any of the people who supported him talk about him anymore.

Does this mean representing the people who elected you is a winning strategy?

We may never know. 🤡

Yeah, their money, time, and effort would be better spent running against Abbott, who is not a strong governor.

Florida GOP Governor Ron DeSantis [...] has now become such a formidable political leader that the Democratic Governors Association will not give any significant financial aid to any Democrat opposing his reelection in 2022, according to a report in Politico.

A sure sign that the Democrats are just rolling in cash.

I would crawl over glass to vote for DeSantis in 2024.

To think that Gullam almost won in Florida is so outrageous. Democrats are never embarrassed by the absolute losers that they put up for their nominees.

The point is that DeSantis has shown the country what leadership looks like. Instead of learning the lesson, they all hate him.

Of course they do. It's the look of competence rather than the look of incompetence. Being incompetent is easy. Everyone in Washington DC does it.

This is what happens when elected leaders grow a backbone and stands up against the darkness. Let’s hope that he represents a wave of men in office that are emboldened by the example that Donald J Trump had set.

Go Forth and do it better!

He’s a much more polished version of Trump and without all the baggage.

Continue to monitor and be vigilant against cheating. (Sorry if I sound like Sister Mary Elephant, but I can’t really be there in person to lead everybody around and scold them if they’re screwing up. I don’t even have a bank account, much less a way to buy air travel tickets.)

Or . . .

They think they have a political “Kill Shot” of an October Surprise and will pul it out last minute. With a Dem Tool like the Gay Escort Motel Entertainer ready to step in.

Virginia was a shocker to me.
New Jersey steal is still ongoing.

The Piggies are allowed back in to watch polling places after the court decision.

So. Maybe.

I have no faith in any politicians anymore.

PDJT like RWR, was a once in a generation event.
We can only hope the People remain vigilant.

I prefer National Divorce.
I don’t want my life dependent on what a group of other people think.

Excellent point. They hate him for his Coof response and have tried to make him into a murderer, etc. yet they don;t want to try to defeat him.

It doesn’t add up and you money theory is probably on point.

A high profile, close, highly financed election gives DeSantis a national stage to contrast conservative positions with liberal ones. Much like Youngkin vs McAwful. That’s damaging to the left at a national level, and could influence a few House and Senate races. They need to keep DeSantis off national TV during the 2022 election.

I get that, but I am supporting Trump for 2024. DeSantis in 2028 sounds great to me. 90% of the Trump baggage is $4it that the dems and RINOs loaded onto the baggage train, and no one else could have done what Trump has done and dealt the the RINO backstabbing and Democrat fraud lying and scheming.

We needed Trump and still need him until we are over the hump on this nonsense.

If Trump runs, the nomination is his. Simple as that. And he will win for a third time.
