How do you use donations to avoid income taxes?

Is he a 501C corporation?

If what he did was legal, good for him.

If one doesn’t like a hole in the law, then change the law. But let’s not point fingers at someone who was smart enough to drive a truck through it.

I’m of the same mind, but if he once uttered the phrase, “pay your fair share,” screw him.

If you can legally avoid paying taxes, it means you are paying for or depreciating something the government needs such as real estate rentals, apartments, food crops, etc.

“If what he did was legal, good for him.”

Absolutely right and anyone who pays more taxes than they should deserves to lose what they have just because they are terminally stupid.

How could these documents be “new?” Isn’t he required to disclose them?

Per the article, he refused to disclose in the 2018 election.

Proving that almost every man is a conservative, especially Democrat men, when it comes to their own money and freedoms. And many men are leftist authoritarians, especially Republican men, when it comes to their children. People only assume a different persona when it comes to their neighbors.

If one doesn’t like a hole in the law, then change the law.

While Polis was in Congress, he was able to do just that. And he did.

Nice work if you can get it.

Some donations are tax deductible. Give money to the right “charities or institutions” and you can deduct that from you income taxes. You’re still paying something to someone/something, but the government isn’t getting a penny of your money. And if I’m not mistaken, most charitable donations are ‘dollar for dollar’.

No different than big businesses writing off every rubber band they buy. Get enough deductions and the company tax liability goes to ZERO. It’s how GE, Amazon and so many others avoid the tax man.

Things most liberal millenial, Tax the Rich, Pay for My College, Pay for My Student Loans, don’t think or know about.

Ain’t that the Catch 22 for all of them.

The AOCs, Warren’s, Sander’s of the world want the money but they’re the first ones to pass tax laws that allow this, so their donors can take advantage of those very same laws.

I have no issues with him doing the math. But, I do have issues with the hypocrisy of the Left in all of it.

Then again, if they closed the Dem’s pushed for and got these loopholes closed, they wouldn’t have Wall St and Big Business funding their crap.

I’m 100% with you. “Loophole” is used pejoratively, but it often means the legislators wrote sloppy laws. If he legally minimized his taxes, more power to him.

If he illegally avoided taxes, hang him!

Agreed. Need a simplified tax program, but many like the loopholes.

Search YouTube for Kerry Packer, an Australian millionaire testifying to their parliament and basically told them he followed the law, paid what he owed, avoided paying whatever he could and they should pound sand.
