Secretary of Labor Marty Walsh says the Biden administration's new vaccine requirements will help boost the labor force participation rate. On Friday, the Labor Department said the labor force participation rate was unchanged in October, at 61.6%. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the participation rate has stayed between 61.4% and 61.7% since June 2020.
"We really have to focus on how do we bring confidence back to those folks that are just afraid of coming back," said Walsh in an interview with Yahoo Finance.
Walsh said he believes the administration's new rule requiring companies with 100 or more employees to mandate COVID vaccines or regular testing and require masks for unvaccinated workers will bring people off the sidelines and into the labor force.

"People will feel their workplace is safer," he added. "People might be not going back to their companies, or not going back to work because of their concern about who might have been vaccinated, who might not have been vaccinated."

So so so out of touch.
another Useful Idiot in the current administration
or else just a whore for the Big Pharma special interests
NO. What it will do is remove the dissenters. Those who remain will be the conformists. That will enable government to hold more power over the companies and remaining employees.
The third shot will become mandatory. There will be more and more mandates passed.
They just lie. All of them.
From the president to his witch of a spokeswoman, psaki, they just lie and lie and it means nothing to them.
I do not want to live with these people anymore. Time to split the country in half. As far as I’m concerned, the only decision there should be is if the split should be amicable or violent.
Who in blazes is “afraid to go to work”?
What a maroon.
I thought “baffle them with bull$hit” was an 80’s thing?
The ones I would feel unsafe around are the vaxxed
I feel better now.
I worked from home for over a year and then retired a few months ago. I have no desire to be a part of this work force. I feel for my children and grandchilren. I think it’s gonna get very bad.
I see the Vaccine mandates as an attempt at a first crack at the “mark of the beast”. It isn’t the mark, but it gives a taste of not only what we are in for, but proof it is possible and quite likely in the very near future.
Come, Lord Jesus.
It would help the ‘Miss Mary’s’ if the Miss Mary’s weren’t such shivering Miss Mary’s…
they’re mostly not afraid to go to work,
they’re mostly either
1. afraid of the so-called “vaccines” that cause strokes and heart attacks, etc.
and/or
2. just sitting on their fat asses at home watching Oprah reruns, taking all the free money (State, Federal and some local) and free welfare and free health care and free groceries and free restaurant meals and free furniture and free rent and free gasoline and car repair vouchers and free transit passes and free this and free that
pay people to sit on their butts and guess what, you get what you pay for
it really is that simple
Good as any other garbage coming out of this bunch of humorless punks hiding behind the old man they are holding up in some strange form of public square ekder-abuse?
Brandon's House. Where the garbage inside becomes the garbage we are mandated to eat.
Apparently it doesn’t matter that the vaccine doesn’t prevent transmission of the disease.
“Apparently it doesn’t matter that the vaccine doesn’t prevent transmission of the disease.”
This.
I’m waiting to see the details of the OSHA mandate. What happens when your workplace consists of one person, with no access by the public?
I have a public facing job. I travel to several states and hold training events. I meet many people, shake hands, get up close. I refuse the shot. Never once have I been scared of anyone of the people I meet.
I did get covid and while I don’t know who I got it from, I do know it wasn’t anyone related to my job.
I got it and got over it. Now I really don’t care because I am 100% immune
The rule of opposites:
The truth is exactly the “opposite” of what they say....
Every time.
Good Lord I couldnt agree more! If figure out where dont leave me behind!!!
I just submitted my medical exemption request and HR accepted. That keeps my employment good for a while longer. I'm aiming to avoid anymore visits to company premises for the duration of my employment. My primary exposure comes from my wife working in the police/fire/EMS dispatch center. Multiple dispatchers have had COVID, a couple have been jabbed. The patrol officers continue to be exposed/infected.
I expect the obedient vaxxed to be having serious health problems in the coming weeks. Only the vaxxed are permitted on company premises, so they can share their variants freely in person. Thankfully, a Skype or Teams meeting will suffice for collaboration. I hope my co-workers are not severely impacted. We have worked together for 30 years.
No conclusive proof that people who are vaxxed cannot catch the virus from other vaxxed people.
