Kyle Rittenhouse is accused of gunning down three people with a military-style semi-automatic rifle last year, killing two and injuring one
Daily Caller Chief Video Director Richie McGinniss took the witness stand Thursday morning as a prosecution witness
He claimed Rittenhouse victim Joseph Rosenbaum 'lunged towards the muzzle' of Rittenhouse's gun in the moment the teen leveled it towards him and shot
Later in the day, another witnesses claimed Rosenbaum threatened to kill any of Kenosha's self-appointed vigilantes if he got them alone
Balch described Rittenhouse – whom he believed to be 19 years old – as 'underexperienced and underequipped'
A juror was dismissed Thursday morning from the Rittenhouse trial after it emerged that he had made a racial joke about the shooting of Jacob Blake
'The implication of the punchline was that it if Kenosha police had more bullets they would have continued to shoot,' said DA Thomas Binger
It was the shooting of Blake, a black man, by a Kenosha Police Officer on August 23, 2020, that sparked nights of protests and riots in Kenosha
It was amid this civil unrest that Rittenhouse armed himself with his AR-15 and shot and killed two men and gravely injured a third

Under the Law you do NOT have to wait for someone who has made a threat against you (contrary to popular opinion THAT is ‘assault’) to actually act on their threat (which is ‘battery’). You have the right to preemptive self defense. In other words, if someone says they are going to kill you you are not required for them to attempt to kill you in order to strike first.
If I was a juror on this case I would recommend execution of the prosecution.
A prosecution witness? Wow. The prosecutor needs to get his behind handed to him for pushing this into a trial. What a disgrace!
If the Jury is not mentally compromised, then Kyle will be found not guilty. And if he is then I hope that he sues the crap out of the prosecutor and others involved in this travesty.
When I was a prosecutor, if I had a situation like this, I would usually just show it myself to make it look like I wasn’t afraid of it. Control the narrative. It is much better to own the problems than to run from them. Running from them just makes it look like it hurts more than it does, and even if it hurts, you want to act like it doesn’t hurt. They knew it was coming in before the trial started. So...steal the defense’s thunder. Own it. Show it. Control it.
As far a self defense goes, the defense would have have had me at the fist call of “get him!”
With the "prosecution" presenting ample witnesses for the defense, it might be appropriate for a judge to shut down the whole proceedings immediately as a waste of taxpayers expense...
bkmk
The first guy was livid at Rittenhouse, and wanted to mix it
up early on, but some of his fellow crew talked him down.
He wanted blood. Well, he got it.
I don't understand the reference to “underequipped.” The AR was very adequate.
As far as “underexperienced,” few people - even most police officers - have ever been in a winner-take-all gunfight. Experienced or not, Rittenhouse performed well under pressure.
A person more mature than Rittenhouse would have never been on that street, taking the risks that he took. He was in a dangerous situation with high risk and low rewards.

I said it after it happened and I’ll say it again: That kid did everything right. He even tried to flag down emergency personnel (who were busy responding to the Leftist riot) to try to get help for the first guy he shot. The only possible blemish is that he didn’t quite dispatch all three dirtbags, letting one survive with injuries.
People really need to watch their mouth when in a vulnerable position.
On the other hand, we had the jury in the OJ trial. They are not bound by reason or reality. A. jury can do what it wants.
I watched the court hearing on Court TV and they censored this out. There is no liberal media agenda here!
“The prosecutor needs to get his behind handed to him for pushing this into a trial.”
He is an assistant prosecutor. His boss should be held accountable for where his orders came from.
So Kyle exterminated a Bolshevik? Excellent.
That reminds me of this idiot who got assigned as a college roommate to me. He started yelling once that he was going to kill me and throw me out the window.
I looked up from my textbook and said something like “Do you have any idea of the paperwork you’ll need to do?”
Idiot shrunk away. I don’t believe we spoke two words to each other the rest of the semester. I moved off campus and he flunked out.
Disagree.
The risk was elevated above "normal", but far from combat. Not one of the defenders was significantly injured or killed.
The rewards were very high, stopping severe destruction of property, when the police were being prevented from doing their job.
If young men are unwilling to take this level of risk in defense of society, the Republic is doomed.
