That was my thought. WTF? Granted, I am all for the prosecution immolating themselves.
Boy, the prosecution is making quite a defense for Kyle. It wasn’t their intent but boy are they highlighting Kyle defending his life.
Clearest case of self defense you’ll ever see and it is all on video.
However this ends, many people got their first good night’s sleep after Rittenhouse killed Rosenbaum who had sexually molested many children. These people and their families now knew for certain that this bizarre monster was never coming back.
Watching the trial you get the sense the prosecutor, judge, and police know it is self defense. Bad national press and political pressure so this is a show trial. Waste of time and money. They should go after the dozens of people that burned and looted. Especially with that HD footage the FBI had and “lost” of all the perps.

I agree but the government wants to make him an example. I won't be surprised if the prosecution found a way to stack the jury.
It's not over until the jury decides.
That may be the job of each of us in the near future.
Rittenhouse set the example. Not to seek out the bad actors, but resolve the situations as they present themselves and not become the victim.
If anything they should give Kyle a medal, unfortunately thet will never happen.
As a former, long time prosecutor, I can say this is not that unusual. It doesn’t happen often, but it is not unusual. Sometimes witnesses for the prosecution are sympathetic to the defendant, but they never share that sympathy with the prosecutors in pre-trial statements. Sometimes, they have a change of heart. I have had it happen a few times. As a prosecutor, it is maddening. My guess is these witnesses were secretly sympathetic to Rittenhouse and did not show that outwardly before the trial.
Maybe the prosecution wants him to be free so media can lie and hype up antifia to start more riots…only worse this time.
why does the prosecution keep putting on the defense’s case?
