Look where the votes are still out at this link. We might actually win it!
some people in the NJ GOV thread that is pinned to the side bar think it will be a R loss due to where the outstanding votes
Do they have a runoff if it’s close?
It will still be MUCH closer than the Democrats ever imagined it would be.
I’ve been readin’ those counties al night and there are a lot of Red votes still out there.
Dems have enough back up ballots in each of 3 counties to make up that margin.
The last time NJ re-elected a Democrat governor was in 1979
However all Republican governors since have been re-elected.
NJ has this love hate relationship with democrats
No run-off - just a recount and hopefully no hanging chads.
I thought we had a decent shot in Virginia. The tight race in NJ is far more shocking. If we pull that one off.... WOW!
nice. SpeedyinTexas has updated numbers in the VA:
J. Ciattarelli Rep. 1,139,340 50%
P. Murphy* Dem. 1,118,079 49%

One county in the SW has yet to report any votes.
No runoff. A recount do you mean?
When must an automatic recount be completed?
There are no automatic recounts in this state.
Can a recount be requested?
Yes, the recount can be requested within 17 days of the election. No margin is required and there is no set deadline for completion.
Who pays for a requested recount?
The requester.
In 1993, we got Virginia, NJ, and NYC with Rudy. In 1994, we got darn near everything but Romney, who threw the game with Ted Kennedy to become governor of Massachusetts and full on pain in the butt afterwards.
it will be close but Murphy will win
CNN has the best updated map , for example they have the mailins for Bergen county while others don’t
,,,Murphy down by only 20K but mostly Blue areas to go

on the Bergen County website, 40k mail in votes that aren’t in the tally and he’s winning them by ~50% so…
All eyes were on VA, and NJ would’ve been a huge bonus. But I don’t think it was that feasible. Still holding out some hope.
Thx
link?
I looked at that county’s website. According to their own website, the unofficial tally is +6k net votes for Ciattarelli.

Thanks for the update!
“...he’s winning them by ~50% so…”
Meaning 75%-25%?
6 abc says 97 percent of the vote in , and we lead by 42 k!
