It has been part of our family’s COVID cocktail including D3, and Zinc, for almost a year. We’ll be including ivermectin if we can find a doctor who will write the script.

Quercetin works mostly in conjunction with the zinc ion, acting as a Zn++ ionophore. If there is a very low level or an actual zinc deficiency in the diet, quercetin would have no effect at all.

Taking daily doses of 50 mg of the zinc ion, as zinc gluconate, provides an ample amount of Zn++ ion without becoming toxic. Over-the-counter preparations like Airborne, Cold-Eeze, or Zicam provide abut 7 mg of Zn++ ion. This may not be enough to effectively curb action of the coronavirus if there is an infection already getting established.

I used it when I had the rona 2 months ago.

My wife, who had rona the same time, used Ivermectin.

Our symptoms were very similar, as well as the duration.

Her headaches were more severe, but lasted 3 days. My headaches, which were legendary, but not as intense, lasted 5 or 6 days.

We are long past all hands-on-deck time. Anything we can throw at the COVID beast that might have some benefit

It's well past over, bud. COVID isn't a threat anymore than is a deer jumping through your windshield in the middle of the day. At this point, the threats are about control. It's all the Democrats have left. Their policies are abject failures. Their people are detestable. And their emperor has no clothes brains.

I was using quercetin long before C19, as it helps with seasonal allergies. For the last year and a half, I’ve been on a daily antiviral regime of quercetin, zinc, D3, and C — and haven’t had one viral sickness, not even a cold. I’ve researched the science, learning all about its mechanism as a zinc ionophore blocking the replicase enzyme, and I’ve passed that information along to many others, who adopted the same prophylaxis. A few said “I did that and got covid anyway” — and it turned out that each had omitted the quercetin.

My wife had a breakthrough case of COVID a couple of weeks ago. She had been vaccinated with J&J back in March. We’ve both been on a lot of supplements for about a year and a half, including quercetin, zinc, NAC, Vitamins D, C, and K. Her case was mild—slight fever, bronchial inflammation, sporadic cough, loss of taste & smell about 6 days in.

Because she qualified, she decided to get Regeneron infusion. We had ivermectin, but she decided to skip using it since she was going to get Regeneron. Was delayed slightly because COVID test result was slow. No problem getting a referral from her doc, but the infusion center wasn’t able to get to her until Day 8 of symptoms. Symptoms were still mild that time. Infusion went fine, and whether a result of the infusion or coincidence, her sense of taste and smell came back a couple of hours after being infused. Seems completely recovered now.

I don’t know how much the course of her COVID was affected by already having been vaccinated, the supplements, or the infusion. I had the J&J vaccine in early April. Even being in the same house with no real attempt as isolating, I did not get COVID, not even an asymptomatic case. I expected my COVID test to come back positive, but it didn’t.

When you can’t use HCQ, you can use Quercetin.

How to Improve Zinc Uptake to Boost Immune Health
https://www.lewrockwell.com/2020/04/joseph-mercola/how-to-improve-zinc-uptake-to-boost-immune-health/

Other Natural Zinc Transporters — Quercetin and EGCG

The good news is drugs like chloroquine and hydroxychloroquine probably would not be necessary either (except for perhaps the most serious cases), as other natural compounds can do the same job.

A comparative study11 published in 2014 looked at two zinc ionophores: quercetin and epigallocatechin-gallate (EGCG found in green tea), noting many of the biological actions of these compounds may in fact be related to their ability to increase cellular zinc uptake.

Quercetin is also a potent antiviral in its own right, and both quercetin and epigallocatechin gallate also have the added advantage of inhibiting the 3CL protease12 — an enzyme used by SARS coronaviruses to infect healthy cells.13 As explained in a 2020 paper in Nature, 3CL protease “is essential for processing the polyproteins that are translated from the viral RNA.”

And, according to another 2020 study,14 the ability of quercetin, epigallocatechin gallate and certain other flavonoids to inhibit SARS coronaviruses “is presumed to be directly linked to suppress the activity of SARS-CoV 3CLpro in some cases.”

In actual lab testing, quercetin can help stabilize the cells that release histamine in the body and thereby have an anti-inflammatory and antihistamine effect. Allergies, asthma, hay fever and hives. In test tubes, quercetin prevents immune cells from releasing histamines, which are chemicals that cause allergic reactions. Unlike ivermectin, you can actually show repeated lab results that quercitin can have a beneficial effect.

Dr. Vladimir "Zev" Zelenko of Hydroxychloroquine contra Covid fame, actually said that if you cannot get Hydroxychloroquine because you cannot find a physician who will prescribe it for prophylaxis, the other alternative would be to use Quercetin, a little less effective but still good aid to prevention.

He developed a formula called Z-STACK, which contains the essential ingredients for prophylaxis against Covid

Just a note of caution that I feel compelled to leave for anyone that may stumble across this post.

I have tried to increase my quercetin with supplements. Each attempt has lead to multiple huge abscess like pockets in my mouth. The last attempt nearly pushed my lower incisors out (its been 4 months and 3 have reseated but the 4th is still a bit wonky). I stop taking it and the abscess swelling goes away.

There was a fear porn story early on back when they were claiming that the cooties could cause nearly any strange symptom where a person had supposedly died of cooties and one of the strange symptoms was that his teeth supposedly fell out. I have to wonder if this person didnt also attempt to supplement or already was supplementing for some other underlying reason that actually lead to his death but also had a strange reaction like I do.

Having said that, I dont think that the problem is the quercetin itself. I have some problems related to the consumption of things derived from pineapple but no physician has ever officially told me that Im allergic so Im not going to refer to it as that either. The bromelain that often comes with these substances is a pineapple derivative. Oddly in my case bromelain seems to do the exact opposite of all of what herbalists claim bromelain is supposed to do. All of my intentional supplementation has been with supplements that included bromelain. If anyone is having strange complications by “adding quercetin” to their diet then they may actually be a bromelain weirdo like me and should seek a source without it.

Im not entirely sure that its necessary to supplement though, at least not for us. We eat an absolutely stupid amount of onions. Its not uncommon for me to walk around just eating onions. Onions always go with meat here and Ill often saute 3lbs just as a side for supper. Of course the fact that apples, blueberries, and kale are frequently part of our diet doesnt hurt.

I guess that “that doesnt prove anything” but I can share this anecdote. Ive noted before that there is a major cultural difference here between the older diets the rurals follow and the more modern diets of todays more urban youth. Along with higher vitamin D foods (another article posted on FR covered that conversation) the rurals tend to eat a huge amount of onions and apples. As an example, believe it or not there is actually an argument going on as to whether our buttered dark rye with the Friday fish fry should continue to have onion slabs in it as a sandwich or not.

So what?

I can tell you that where I worked in a medical related field we had apartment buildings full of people diagnosed with cooties. The young urban staff were being diagnosed with cooties left and right and would win a paid 10 day vacation. The older rural staff (chain smoking, overweight, diabetic(comorbidities=bullshit)) never took a day off, never had symptoms, werent “vaccinated”, never bothered to put on a show with any of the precautions hoax, and would wind up picking up all the overtime slack left by the 20somethings.

Its not just there either, Im hearing similar things from other work places. My observation is enough of a valid “study” for me and I think others should be putting a lot less faith in what they are hearing from government and the msm.

The MSM is the government. How do you know if the government is telling the truth? Its the government, you already know its a lie. The trick then is only in determining the percentage.
