Governor signs new law: Payments secured for people fired over vaccine refusal

Iowa is standing up for workers who have refused to take the coronavirus vaccine on principle and paid for it by losing their jobs.

A new law signed by Republican Gov. Kim Reynolds carves out an exception to the rules for individuals who claim religious or medical exemptions from COVID-19 vaccination requirements.

The bill passed the Iowa House and Senate on Thursday, according to KPIC-TV.

“This is a major step forward in protecting Iowans’ freedoms and their abilities to make healthcare decisions based on what’s best for themselves and their families. This legislation also gives employees the assurance that they will still receive unemployment benefits despite being fired for standing up for their beliefs,” Reynolds said in a statement on her website.

I work in a Rural Hosp......

It's under 100 employee's..

Many bedside folks got the VAXX even the very young...19-30 yr olds...

Many of them were flaunting the fact they were VAXXED...and didn't have to worry about getting the 19...And not wearing their PPE in many instances.

A couple weeks ago....multiple people that were VAXXED got the 19....

One told me today...she was scared..because she was sick.

I'm older...and in reasonable health...and declined the VAX. Because of what I read..and know.

I was up in the grill of this guy that tested positive....but did not get the 19.

Pretty sure I had it over a year ago....So...I'm sure I have natural anti-bodies...

Corporate executives who fire employees for resisting vaxx mandates are International Criminals guilty of crimes against humanity.

Duress to induce unwanted medical treatment is evil in its purest form.

And why are the jabbed NOT being tested regularly, since they can catch and spread the Rona?

This is more evidence that something is wrong with the entire scenario, IMO.

My "religious exemption" will state the same:

"We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. — That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed..."

By invoking the self-existant, self-acknowleding Creator, this Declaration establishes a religious imposition against tyranny, for ALL Americans, for all mankind, whether anyone believes it or not!

I think you are overlooking the fact that unemployment is mostly funded by taxes from the employers.

“State governments get the money to pay claims by debiting the employer’s UI account (in states that require an account balance) or by raising the employer’s UI taxes. A deduction in the account balance may also cause a rate increase, as the ratio between taxable payroll and the account balance changes. Each claim assessed to an employer’s account can result in a tax rate increase in future years.”

Business that enforce a mandate will be penalized for years to come with increased UI taxes.

Yup, I forgot about unemployment insurance. Employers better start fighting the mandates then if they’re going to have to pay for people’s time off for jabs and side effects plus pay higher unemployment insurance rates due to paying a lot of unemployment claims.

It’s still government welfare in that this law is mandating it but in this case, employers will pay it.

Protecting employees by putting employers out of business.

As they damn' well should be, so as not to put this mess on us poor taxpayers.

You’re not an employee anymore after your former employer cans you, not for anything performance-related, but because you wouldn’t bend to an unconstitutional government mandate. Screw any such employer, I hope their businesses go under.
