I know people there.
You have some very big data centers outside of Reno.
I helped start one of them up.
It is a neat area but kinda lonely.
Lonelier than a trailer by the river? :-)
Mostly because of the business I am in, I want to get out of the high taxes, over-regulation, the ridiculous fees and permits, and the obscene property values (though some parts are quite expensive for residential, for industrial it is 1/4-1/3 the cost).
And also, like data centers, the weather is much better for what I do. Many in my industry have moved to Arizona but it boggles my mind. The ambient temperature is way too hot, unless you want to pay to air condition a warehouse. Northern Nevada can get warm for a few months a year, but still cooler than where I am now. And the rest of the year, much better for what I do.
