Lonelier than a trailer by the river? :-)

Mostly because of the business I am in, I want to get out of the high taxes, over-regulation, the ridiculous fees and permits, and the obscene property values (though some parts are quite expensive for residential, for industrial it is 1/4-1/3 the cost).

And also, like data centers, the weather is much better for what I do. Many in my industry have moved to Arizona but it boggles my mind. The ambient temperature is way too hot, unless you want to pay to air condition a warehouse. Northern Nevada can get warm for a few months a year, but still cooler than where I am now. And the rest of the year, much better for what I do.

I did live out west for a time.

Tonopah on the secret stuff and actually the southwest of AZ.

Yea, it was a tad hot. Lived in Chandler a bit and finally came back east.

AZ was the best. I know damn near all the 15 counties in that state. I was outdoors quite a bit. There are mines there that only I could see. Who could say they camped in Harshaw?

I have a book on the Lost Dutchman that seems to be worth 700 bucks now.

I enjoy the water, trees and change of seasons near the Appalachians.

I guess I’m getting old. It’s all good. :^)

Have you looked at Google, I know it’s Google, in Bridgeport Alabama? They bought the never used Bellafonte Nuclear Power Plant and are turning it into some kind of data farm. Reasonable cost to live. An hour or so to Huntsville, 40 minutes to Chattanooga, 90 to Nashville. I have no idea if they need what you do, but they’ve been doing construction on it for about 2 years.
