All kinds of things can trigger negative emotions. Maybe people should line their walls with cork, cut off all media, and live as hermits.

A dear friend of mine died a number of years ago. I went through a horrible grief for about a year. I couldn’t go out without running into something that reminded me of her and triggered the grief. She liked Peeps at Easter and I saw them in the store and that did it. It never occurred to me to ask the store to remove the Peeps. Emotional pain is part of everyone’s life. You deal with it. Dealing with it doesn’t mean expecting the world to accommodate and protect you. That goes double for things that simply offend you.

I was concerned that Lady Macbeth would give me flashbacks of Hillary Clinton, but then I remembered that they are nothing alike because Lady Macbeth was wracked by guilt over what she had done.
