“Either this General is lying or we are wasting so much money it’s insane”

Much of what china spends for their military is mixed up with civilian spending. No one knows the true amoun they spend.

China does not have $$$$$$$$ military bases all around the world protecting everyone elses border except their own.

China just developed the most powerful supercomputer in the world while we play wokism.

China is expanding their military presence around the world, they have a base in Africa now, I suspect in due time they will have bases in South America, perhaps Venezuela....

Meanwhile they have their entire industrial capacity under the PLA....Huawei is a prime example, any Western country that allows Huawei to operate inside their country is begging to be controlled by China....

The chinese will send a sampan navy with 10million “internal migration” civilians armed with CNN uplinks, cameras, and bullhorns. When they get mowed down by our side, the resulting negative PR will be amplified by the chinese knocking out 2 of our aircraft carriers in the blockade with their hypersonic ICBM thermally guided antiship missiles.
America will luze stomach for the fight over what it already calls an internal province of China. Taiwan has never declared independence.
About a third of civilians in Taiwan are ethnic Chinese and maybe only half of them have loyalties and fifth column tendencies towards communist China. They have hundreds of thousands of cargo ships they can fill with civilians armed with cameras, CNN uplinks, and bullhorns.
The resultant slaughter will be live on CNN and the PR backlash will be enough to let China walk right back into their own internal (never did declare independence) province. If we blockade them, they’ll lob thermal-capable antiship ICBM missiles at our aircraft carriers and CNN will record them sinking to the bottom of the sea with the resultant nuclear plume.
America will luze stomach for the fight after luzing a couple $Trillion in carriers and tens of thousands of men in one afternoon, all seen on CNN, with our recourse being... to slaughter civilians. China has all the cards, they just have to lay them down on the table at this point.
And when it’s all over but the shouting, the RINOs and GOPes and democraps will be handwringing, hoping for a quick way to order chinese chips & electronics from Amazon. The chinese want the continued business of globalists so it’ll all be “can’t we just get along” and “water under the bridge” as soon as China is in charge and chips are shipping.

What war has China won in the last century?

What war has China won in the last few centuries?

You'd have to go back to war with Russia in 1652-1689, to the Treaty of Nerchinsk where Russia gave up ground after Chinese victories against the Russians. In later battles, even Vietnam and Taiwan Aboriginals defeated the Chinese. China is a paper tiger.

General John Hyten, vice chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff
and Washington’s second-most-senior military officer, called the
rapid rise of the Chinese military “stunning.”

From around 1992 on, I have been predicting this very thing.

I did so because it was clear to me we were going to finance
China's wildest dreams of taking over the planet.

This doesn't shock me. It shocks me it took this long.

They're making our medications for heaven's sake. And
they're making everything else for us too.

We deserve everything we're going to get.

Sadly, the good Citizens, are going to suffer right along
with our bad Citizens.

This will go down as the biggest single series of f-ups in
recorded history.

I understand capitalism and don’t disagree...just not outsourcing to countries that are our enemy.

The main reason the communist Chinese have been able to catch up to us militarily/economically/technically is when we label them as most favored trading partners.

Then the lil thieves begin stealing any and everything they can get their hands on for the benefit of the communist party.

The US military would be better if neuron-deficient biden hadn’t given away 85 billion worth of military equipment and gotten so many fired for not taking the vax.

Send more money! We have new toys that will take decades to become operational, if then, and cost billions in cost overruns. Hurry or the Chinese will make more empty threats!

I want to be clear: I in no way underestimate the Communist Chinese.

They aren’t stupid, and they aren’t incapable. Far from it. There is a reason that the British would refer to someone who is completely corrupt, unprincipled, and formidable as a “Mandarin”.

They are our enemy. And they are a deadly one. They are smart, capable, and willing to harness their population through simple fear and intimidation, or by manipulation via propaganda. They are Communists. It is what they do, and far too many people have forgotten that.

And with all that said, even if their tactics or military may have this or that shortcoming, quantity has a quality all its own, as does decent electronic hardware produced en-masse, which is what they have been doing with money we have willingly sent that way.

But in the same way Charles Lindbergh and many other Americans and Europeans were cowed by the Nazis because we believed in their military and national might prior to WWII via their deliberate attempts to influence our opinions, the Chinese Communists are doing exactly that today (with the help of those they bought off, bribed, intimidated, or blackmailed in our own country).

Charles Lindbergh, as intelligent as he was, fell prey to the perceived might of the Nazis who used him, flying him from airfield to airfield, and flying planes from a field he just visited to one he was going to visit. When he got there, he would see all these modern and new military aircraft lined up wing to wing, and thought they would whip their enemies in war. He became an unwilling dupe of the Nazis. He was no Nazi-lover, but being an enemy of the Roosevelt Administration and the Roosevelt-friendly media, he was painted as a Nazi lover, and his reputation was forever stained because of it.

We need to ensure we see the Chinese clearly as they are, not the way the Communists want us to see them, the way the Left and the Media want us to see them, and the way the Biden Administration wants us to see them.

As Bill Whittle says, we need to be aware that there is indeed a Perception Battlefield in play and conduct ourselves accordingly.
