Republican Glenn Youngkin now holds a clear lead over Democrat Terry McAuliffe in the Virginia gubernatorial race with five days to go before Election Day, according to a just-released poll.
The Fox News survey showed Youngkin leading McAuliffe by eight percentage points (53-45) among likely voters, with just 2 percent supporting other candidates or undecided.
That represents a dramatic turnaround from just two weeks ago, when the same poll showed McAuliffe with 51 percent support among likely voters, 46 percent supporting Youngkin and 3 percent undecided or supporting other candidates.
Youngkin also leads McAuliffe by a single percentage point (48-47) among all registered voters — a 12-point turnaround from two weeks earlier, when McAuliffe held a 52-41 advantage among registered voters.
The poll also shows more bad news for President Biden, as fewer than half of Virginia’s registered voters (45 percent) now approve of the job he’s doing as president, down six percentage points from just two weeks ago.
On the other hand, 53 percent of registered voters and 56 percent of likely voters disapprove of Biden’s job performance — up from 48 and 49, respectively, in the mid-October survey.

McAuliffe’s comments on parents having no say what their children are taught awakened a sleeping giant.....
Hopefully this will be the start of waking parents up across the country... not just in VA.
They have been using the schools to indoctrinate your kids for decades.... while most people just slumbered
I have little hope that Youngkin will win. Maybe, but it is still a long shot. NoVa voting is a fraud.
On election night Youngkin will have a huge lead maybe 10 points, then they count the votes in NoVa and slowly the margin closes and he loses by 1/2 point.... Stay tuned.
If it’s close, they will do endless recounts, I’m sure.
As we see from history, whenever they go to the recount, the Democrat always gains votes in the recount.
Key examples: 2004 governor’s election in Washington, 2008 Senate race in Minnesota with Al Franken.
Even in Florida 2000, Al Gore gained over 1000 votes as they continued recounting over and over. While Gore ended up losing Florida, he still gained quite a few votes in the recount.
So considering such cases, I fear that if it’s close enough to go to the recount process, that’s how McAwful will be declared the winner.
When is the election? Nov. 2nd?
If Youngkin wins, the RATS will play the ‘cat card’, when a cat falls off a table, “I meant to do that!”
Yep, every once in awhile, they have to let the Pubbies win one, just to try to get rid of the suspicion.
