Rep. Ro Khanna asks, 'What do you have to say to Americans' children born into a burning world?'
"Do you agree climate change is a threat to our existence?" Maloney asked Shell president Gretchen Watkins.
"Chairwoman, I agree that climate change is one of the biggest challenges that we have in the world today, which is why at Shell we’re in action on providing lower and no-carbon products to our customers," Watkins responded. "We believe this is something we’re all in together, we need to work in collaboration with society, with governments, with other companies, and other industries."
Not satisfied with that statement, Maloney again asked if Watkins believed climate change is an existential threat to humanity.
"Yes or no?" she asked.
"I agree that this is a defining challenge for our generation. Absolutely," Watkins said.
Failing to get the exact response she was looking for, Maloney asked the panel if any of them disagreed that climate change poses an existential threat. None of the witnesses said they disagreed.

Then Reps. Khanna, Maloney, et al left their oil-heated offices, got in their gasoline-powered vehicles, and went home to coal-powered electrical appliances to eat meals cooked over natural gas while wearing polyester clothing and using innumerable plastic products.

What these idiots don’t get is that the “carbon/CO2” based globull warming claim (based on C02/carbon as the acting agent of causality— man caused of course)... is being supported by the largest holders of ... CARBON... namely the large oil producers/processors and... sellers.
Because... we are headed for another 200 year mini ice age, and they will hedge with the “carbon credits” as prices would HAVE to go up and up. And the margins— in outerspace.
Wonder if anyone has thought about this. Nevermind the fact that C02 does not cause global warming.. the SUN does in large cycles. Washington crossed the Delaware through giant blocks of ice.... not seen since on the river until recently, which is a clue. For that was the ending of a 200 year known mini-ice age.

What you suggest is the correct response. However, we find the oil companies are as cowardly as the rest of the Wall Street Pack, the media, the FBI, and the politicians that run this sad country.
she should have said “The world is burning? News to me” and asked the terrorists questioning her just how much of the atmosphere has CO2 in it as a direct result of mankind-
then say “Do you think 0,00136% of the atmosphere is enough to change world climate? Because last i knew, such a small amount will cause only a very minimal bit of warming which will then quickly reach equilibrium- in other-words, it has no effect on temperatures because there simply isn’t enough of it”

“Iceland claims they have a CO2 vacuum, which they claim will sop up copious amounts of CO2- how about we wait and see what happens there when they muck with mother nature? (when they spin out of control climate wise for muckin with nature, and freeze to death as a result, get back to us about our piddly little amount of CO2, and we’ll laugh in your faces”
