I thought anyone speaking on behalf of a candidate was invited by the candidate, so why would he be skittish? Or is it his staff that are skittish? Or is Trump just showing up whether Youngkin wants it or not?

Youngkin should hold a Trump Rally in Richmond County, Va. and he will be guaranteed defeating McAuliffe.
For a lot of folks devoid of accomplishments, being a Democrat and hating Trump was a lifesaver. It appeals to unattractive unaccomplished nobodies and perennial losers. It allows them to part of something, pathetic as it may be.
My thought is that Youngkin’s campaign probably thinks he’s probably toast if he’s bringing in Trump this late in the game after sort of keeping a distance until now.
What have they found?
Not sure if he will help or hurt. Maybe if he campaigned in the south to get out the vote it will help.
I say this because the ex-governor has tried to tie Youngkin to Trump to get out his own base. No reason to play into that (even though I know Trump endorsed Youngkin).
