Santa Fe District Attorney Mary Carmack-Altwies has given an update on the details of the police’s investigation into the tragedy on the set of the independent film “Rust,”

-snip-

“Obviously, [Baldwin is] very important. He’s the one that pulled the trigger. He’s the one that was holding the gun. And so he’s very important,” Carmack-Altwies stated. “Does that mean that charges will be filed? Not necessarily. It also doesn’t mean that they won’t be filed.”

One might say that holes were blown through the safety protocols.

Soros stooge still desperately trying to find a way to let Baldwin get off scot free.

Prediction: The crew member will be the scapegoat and charged with a felony. Baldwin will get a minor misdemeanor at most. Then he will donate a bunch of money to some crazed left-wing “charity” and call it all good.

Sounds like Baldwin will be offered to plea to a lesser charge.

If this happened to Joe Sixpack he’d already be charged with manslaughter no matter who handed him the gun or what was said at the time.

Lots of folks have been critical of this DA. But could it be she is really doing a proper investigation, not just a whitewash? Is it possible she is not star struck by Alec Baldwin being the man at the center of things?

Stay tuned.

Anti-gun Alex Baldwin has now shot & killed more people than me and any my circle of shooting friends.

Funny thing, I also cannot help but notice how the media seems to be circling around Baldwin. AD and Armorer are all the MSM mention when it come to charges.

This DA will be the first DA in the USA to legalize the “I didn’t know the gun was loaded” defense.

She was giggling like a schoolgirl at yesterday’s press conference. Not serious or professional.

I shot my brother in the butt with a BB gun when I was a kid. “Accidental discharge”. Does that count?

Here's her statement...

Carmack-Altwies stated. “Does that mean that charges will be filed? Not necessarily. It also doesn’t mean that they won’t be filed.”

Now she has me giggling at the thought that justice will be served.

Variety Reports Hollywood sources are saying, more or less, “let’s ban REAL guns from movie sets”.

The National Safety Council reported an estimated 42,060 deaths from Traffic Accidents in 2020. That’s an average of 115 per day. That means that since the Baldwin murder of the young woman by Baldwin, 690 people have been killed in traffic accidents.

So, California can be the first to ban cars????/!!!

Money and really good lawyers. DA’s want to win so they prefer poor people with public defenders or low rent barely competent ones.

Expensive litigators make it really hard to win, so a DA is going to think twice about committing the budget, the time and effort into a case.

Expect some sort of plea bargain that involves large donations and extensive community service to anti-gun organizations. This is why she’s not committing to charges/no charges. They are negotiating the terms.

I don't know handgun laws for New Mexico, but was the gun even legally registered?

We can all assume - if you or I were hunting, giving a class, or some demonstration, and the same stupid thing happened - charges would have been filed last week.

To Alec Baldwin: You always check a gun given to you for being loaded. You always treat it as if it was loaded and you never point it at anything you are not intending to shoot. This works. I always do it and I have never killed anyone.

Loudmouth, bigshot producer was trying to do a man’s job of producing a movie, which costs millions of dollars, only he was trying to do it for fifty cents.
The result was a chit-show of a production, with disgruntled workers, lousy working conditions, and every corner cut in the safety department.
I hope he is held accountable for every bit of it.
