Florida's Chief Financial Officer is trying to attract California-based In-N-Out Burger to Florida. However, the gesture could have less to do with juicy burgers and more to do with politics surrounding coronavirus health policy.

As a 40+ year Floridian, I’ve had In-n-Out once when I was traveling for business in DFW. It did not live up to expectations. I’d heard people talk about it for years, esp. through The Big Lebowski, and when I had it, it was just okay.
I will say, however, I would eat their fare if they were to open chains in the Sunshine State. I love to support Christian-owned American businesses.
Move the HQ, leave the restaurants......................
Way overrated. Whataburger is better for example.
I was expecting an incredible burger the way people built it up for me. Was definitely meh. Wasn’t bad, just there are better almost everywhere.
“Move the HQ, leave the restaurants......................“
The tax laws in Florida are much more business friendly than California. This would be a smart move and very painful for the State of California.

I’m hoping this won’t turn into a thread focused on who’s got the best burger. IN N OUT is a great company, Private, doesn’t change, Christian Values, and it appears they are not backing down to Newsome.
God bless em. I hope they flee that cesspool of a State.
I am going to go to in n out.
Everyone needs to now.
Support in n out. Eat at in n out.
In n out are not backing down.
I went the other day here in Texas to show my support. They said they refuse to be the vaccine police for California. I love that!
Then perhaps, The State of California can buy up all the abandoned In-N-Outs and turn them into homeless shelters.
Whataburger is far and away the worst burger on the planet. Paper thin sheets of gray meat with less flavor than shoe leather. The buns are generic at best and flavorless.
That is why they have to jazz up everything with extra crap - to cover just how bad they are.
In-n-Out kicks wb’s behind in all areas.
If the CFO came out and said We have a Meeting with In-N-Out executives next week to discuss uprooting from California and Moving ALL operations to Florida, the Shit would hit the Fan and California would EXPLODE!!!
I’d compare it to a Crown Burgers (Texas-Colorado) or a Artic Circle (Washington-Oregon mostly). It’s ok, but you could do better. Must be around 350 of them existing....mostly all west coast, Nevada and Texas.
The problem for In-N-Out moving is logistics. They do everything in house. From meat processing to distribution with their own trucks and vehicle repair/maintenance. they even have a sign shop making their own signage
Wasn’t trying to turn it into a comparison thread. I’ll fully support a Christian company that stands up to tyrants. Chick-Fil-A lost my support after they caved to the LGBTQ+ lobby.
Yeah, it would be a big move. I think the key is their policy of not freezing meat which means they can only go as far as around 500 mile radius unless they have meat processing plants in those far away markets. That’s what they did to expand into Texas.
It’s doable though. A big investment to go to Florida and east coast but dang...if anyone has an almost guaranteed market...it’s IN N OUT. The lines are always long here in Texas. When they opened a few years ago......the line was about a mile long. I hope they flee California.
I am forced to question your sanity. ;-)
We recently got a Cookout burger place. They are yummy.
No problem. Tastes are subjective. It would be earth shaking if IN N OUT exited California. I kinda think they are one of the few organizations with the clout to beat California. The people would revolt. Which tells us a lot about how shallow a lot of Californians are.
Raise Gas tax....no problem. Tax me to death. No problem. Shut down my businesses, no problem. But mess with my cheeseburger?...we got a big problem. LOL
