They never give up. The finger waggers who know what is good for the rest of us; the epidemiologists trying to intimidate us with their seemingly terrifying but actually rather trivial models of applied mathematics. The vested interests in the NHS creating excuses for the inefficiencies inherent in the system.

If we already have restrictive measures, we need more. If we don’t have them, we need to be introducing them right now, or preferably yesterday.

Like a stopped clock, their admonishments and predictions are occasionally correct. But for the most part, they are not.

In the past week, daily deaths in the UK have averaged well over 100. In Sweden, there have been less than 10.

Wow amazing what happens when you practice real science instead of politized junk science.

I think Sweden decided to opt out of mask mandates and lockdowns in part becase they knew they couldn’t enforce them in places like Malmo.

Another bitter clinger hanging on to “Science” that has a 100 year track record with real facts and evidence, and thinking that it is somehow relevant to the mysterious magical COVID

We should have prioritized protecting the elderly and those with weakened immune systems, prioritized treatments, funded fully staffed hospitals (both permanent and temporary), practiced better personal hygiene (I'm quite fine with the social distancing part - some people believe your space is their space), and don't lock down the country.

Those beholden to Big Pharma have sold out the country, especially when it was determined they could trick the country into making a HARD left.

The UK has 6.5 times the population of Sweden, so comparing the rates, the death rate from covid is about 50% higher in the UK, compared to Sweden, rather than 10 times higher.

Still significant, but more logical to compare rates instead of absolute numbers.

The UK has a huge obesity problem compared to Sweden.
Obesity and its associated illnesses are a huge comorbidity factor.

Good point.

Obesity is a disease of abundance.

I recall an East Indian, after seeing a documentary of American poverty, said: "I want to live in a country where the poor people are fat!"

Sweden’s population of 10 million largely urban dwellers is 70% vaccinated. Less than 20% of their population are elderly.

Nursing home residents comprised over 50% of their casualties with euthanesia strongly encouraged (and, one might suspect not all covid euthanesias were reported as covid deaths). Less than 20K disabled are supported at home, with the majority of their disabled (over 40K) institutionalized. Sweden reports a 1 in 10 infection rate and 1.3% death rate (if euthanasias aren’t counted)

“Sweden has suffered many times more COVID-19 deaths per capita than its Nordic neighbours, which opted for tighter curbs during the initial waves of the pandemic, but less than many larger European countries that employed hard lockdowns.”
https://www.reuters.com/world/europe/sweden-remove-most-remaining-pandemic-restrictions-this-month-2021-09-07/

” Sweden’s health advisory intended to prevent hospitals from being overwhelmed with nursing home residents. But, only in a country where assisted suicide was already normalized could those instructions have been interpreted as authorization to kill off elderly patients.”

I don’t view Sweden as having a lower abundance level then in the UK. I think its a cultural issue. When I was in London a saw a lot of porkers, particularly young women. When in Stockholm not so much !

I thought Sweden was only recently banning “vaccination” of younger age groups due to injection side effects. So, I doubt they’re laughing at anything.

It’s scary, frankly

Isaiah 5:20

And because they’re reprobate, there’s no hope in logic and reasoning. Not even Scripture.

IMHO an early version of the strong delusion has started.
