A white male marketing vice president from a North Carolina has been awarded a $10million 'reverse discrimination' payout from the hospital which fired him and replaced him with two women, one of whom is black.

He says he was inexplicably terminated just days before reaching his five year work anniversary, a milestone that would have awarded him a higher severance payout than what he was given.
He was replaced by two women - Kate Everett, a white woman who had worked with him and was promoted to take the role of Chief PR and Communications Officer and Vicky Free, a black woman who was given the role of Chief Marketing Officer.

Excessive award, but happy to see it.
Unfortunately these types of corporate decisions are par for the course for those in higher positions.
I knew one who had his territory changed a year before he was to retire....had to travel over 200 miles every day to the new location. And it happens at all levels when companies want someone to “look elsewhere”. One sales person was given the job of cleaning bathrooms and other tidy up tasks in hopes he’d quit.
And now it’s CASE LAW
It’ll be the taxpayer who ultimately pays for this BS, not the people who thought it was a good idea.
It's not as if he'll ever see a penny of it.

I like the part where the plaintive was on the diversity and inclusion committee and drew up promotional material for it.
The jury sent a message, a somewhat painful one rather than a smaller award which could be passed off as cost of diversity. Idea is to reform the hospitals wayward and evil diversity driven HR department. Ideally HR heads should roll with complete in depth review of just who the hell is running the hospital and correcting course.
Message should resonate in other similar venues.
Hope you are wrong, but the judgment will be appealed and then appealed again, if necessary, hoping to wear him down and maybe settle for a small amount before he dies of old age.
There is no such thing as “reverse discrimination”, it’s just discrimination against a white male.

Good. Everyone in the same boat should do this. It will only stop when it cost more than it’s worth to the evil diversity woke culture in business. Hire on merit; not gender or color.
