KEYWORDS:
Consumer confidence up, and up more than expected. Household cash is high.

Credit scores:

The average FICO score in America is 711.

The average FICO score is 5 points higher compared to a year ago. Then it was 706.

Since 2009, there has been constant growth, starting at 686.

The number of 711 falls in the scope of a good credit score.

This is all good news. I hope it doesn't depress anyone. Consumer Confidence at FR feels like it's a minus number. Why are there so many pessimists doom and gloomers? That's liberal territory.

Completely counter to the massive spike in inflation for everyday costs (grocery, fuel, energy, etc.) seem by real Americans.

This screed is an assertion without basis in fact. NOBODY can be confident in today’s climate. The storms continue to batter, and the way out lies in changing the environment.

Now that is the kind of climate change I can believe in.

Why are you all so out of touch with America?

People are making all kinds of money solving problems while some sit and pout. They mock the word transitory when everything in the universe is transitory. This happens in every economic cycle. It’s always the END.

It’s hard to watch good, able people wallow in self-defeat while others are sprinting forward, working to get things off the ground again and succeeding at it.

I’m going to keep investing in businesses and individuals who are working to keep things going and improve all of our lives. I don’t give up on America.

It is admirable that you retain a positive attitude. We all could use a dose of that. But when you see policies that involve the wonton printing of money, increase taxes, increase public debt, increase the normalization of illegal aliens - who then get to bring their families in (and these families get to import more families), punishment of producers, rewarding takers, bludgeoning us with Covid, bludgeoning us with Global Warming, bludgeon us because we believe that the police should maintain order over the criminals....

These are not negative thoughts, these are realities in America in 2021. I believe in the American ideals, as you do. Unfortunately, those in power do not.

We observed the demise of a major world power, the soviet union. Life continued.

When I was in Mongolia later, they were rediscovering their past and were excited about the future. In their case this was Buddhism and ghengis Kahn.

What will we rediscover?

The actual result are much more nuanced then the spin being put on it.

Feeling less negative might be more accurate. If a consumer feels confident, they are feeling more confident. If they are feeling negative, they feel more negative
