Yes. It’s possible Newsom phoned his fellow Dem Joe Biden and asked if Joe could stop sending infected illegals to CA for a few weeks.
Biden said. “Okay. I’ll ask my handlers if they’ll okay it, I mean.”
Newsom said “Gracias, I mean thanks, ol’ buddy.”
Agreed. CA seemed fairly tame in comparison.

These were the highest monthly COVID death totals in California since February 2021, during which month the state had recorded 7,697 deaths involving COVID. (By way of comparison, in June 2021, California had recorded but 439 COVID deaths, the lowest total since the first month of the pandemic.) It also seems significant that the aforementioned 3,845 death total for September 2021 was some 86% higher than the number of deaths that had been recorded in California in that same month the year previously (i.e., September 2020, in which there were 2,067 deaths involving COVID). At that time, of course, no one had yet been vaccinated in the state.
So, with respect to COVID deaths at least, it is not altogether clear that California's pandemic policies now have it moving in the right direction. We'll see what the coming months bring in terms of trend. As for this, data for the month of October are still being compiled, but for the week ending October 9, 2021, some 393 deaths involving COVID have been recorded; in the comparable week a year ago (i.e., the week ending October 10, 2020), California incurred 375 deaths. And, it appears, all of the data for the week ending October 9, 2021 has yet to be received, so that "393" figure will likely increase.
Among the nation's largest states (all of which exhibit this same sharp increase in deaths involving COVID as of September 2021, compared to September a year ago), California does seem to be performing somewhat better. Its 86% increase in September 2021 stands in contrast to Florida's rate of increase, comparing September 2021 to September 2020 (i.e., where deaths involving COVID were up 295%); to that in Texas (i.e., up 222%); to that in the state of New York, excluding New York City (i.e., up 596%); and to that in New York City (i.e., up 289%).

Manipulation of the statistics would be my guess.
The cdc numbers are just as bogus as polling numbers, and for the same reasons!
Newson was on way out via recall. That didn’t occur but all news reports were rigged or slanted to enable him to continue in office.

California was never the epicenter of the Covid epidemic.
It’s deaths per population has been well below the national average and is currently 35th out of 50.

Much of the state does not require masks or vaccination papers. Millions since May 2020 have been going to the state beaches with no masks. This is a power grab a scamdemic.
