Biden promises he's going to take 'millions' of cars off roads

It seems for a lot of Americans, that short drive from home to office may no longer happen very often.

Nor might the family drive to grandma's.

Or a trip to a football or basketball game.

Instead they'll apparently walk to a train station, get on and ride, then walk from the train station to their destination.

It's because President Biden is going to take "literally, millions of automobiles" off the road.

His comments came this week while he was promoting his big-spending, big-government agenda, and were captured by CNS News.

The report explained that "in his mind," if he gets Congress to approve his multi-trillion dollar spending packages, much will be solved.

"When the almost-79-year-old president finally got around to the main point – explaining the two 'infrastructure' bills Democrats want to pass simultaneously – he returned to the topic of train travel, which in his mind will take 'millions' of cars off the road," the report said.

"Both these bills are going to help us meet the moment on the climate crisis in a way that creates good jobs, makes us more economically competitive – $66 billion in passenger rail and freight rail," Biden claimed. "Why (do) I always talk about passenger rail and particularly high-speed rail? You realize the Chinese are now building another high-speed rail line that will go up to 300 miles per hour? You say, what difference does that make, Biden?"

He went on, "Well, guess what? If you can get on a train and go from here to Washington much faster than you can go in an automobile, you take a train, you take the train. We will take, literally, millions of automobiles off the road – off the road,...

Seems like foreshadowing towards holocaust trains without calling it them.

When Biden says "get on the train, you get on the train!"

Is slow Joe personally going to take care off the road or is he going to have someone do it for him?

Uh, maybe you haven’t noticed. But new cars are more expensive and harder to come by. Used cars are getting ever more expensive. And parts are ever harder to find.

Is this by accident or design?

I have a wonderful very old Infinity. Gets great gas milage, not that I need to drive that far with three grocery stores within walking distance. New it’s a $55,000 car and all of the guys in the ‘’hood think it’s a terrific ride.

NOT getting off the road under any circumstances. You can pry my steering wheel out of my cold, dead hands.

Probably the saddest thing is that even if his dream of better and faster commuter trains was real, no one believes this government is capable of building anything like that. The money is going to be wasted, and nothing will come of it.

Research how many BILLIONS have been spent for “Light Rail in King County/Seattle area. Try the same with California Light Rail. $420,000,000 PER MILE. How much to build freeway lanes?

$88,000 in 2015 dollars in WA ... per the link

https://midwestepi.files.wordpress.com/2017/05/cost-per-lane-mile-nationally-and-in-the-midwest-updated-final.pdf

2 to 5 Million dollars per mile I see elsewhere.

Tell me again Biteme how this $66 Billion will do ANYTHING in the way of building rail across America? At $420 Million per mile, 100 miles of rail, which would make it a little over halfway from Seattle to Portland would run $240 Billion for half way.... Half a TRILLION likely to go from Seattle to Portland, then figure out how people would have to drive 300 miles from East of that line to get to the rail. Biteme is a moron, it is why he was chosen to be the Prez. Just like Nelson Mandela, an idiot if I have ever seen one. All he did was smile and look like....... Joe Biteme Biden. Harmless..... I can assure you, neither one is or was harmless.

They were saying this back in the early 1970s when the Arab Oil Embargo hit.

We workers at that time worried if there would be gas if we bought a car. We often tried to come up with plans to make fuel at home, from alcohol to producer gas driven vehicles.
One man even converted his truck to diesel using a two cylinder tractor engine. He got great fuel mileage but his truck was s-l-o-w.

Which is it - COVID or cars? How many want to take public transportation with the COVID hype?

Bloomberg news was just on...world leaders talking about climate change climate change climate change.

Is there any actual proof that we humans are affecting the climate?

Choo Choo trains, windmills, and solar heating. All three completely out of date. All three need government subsidies to operate, build and maintain.

Give me NG, oil, Coal and hydro and my nation will lead the world in manufacturing and comfort of living.

With Solar and wind, we will be dependent on the wind to blow our clothes dry, and the sun to heat our homes, 365 days a year.

Now if they just built 500 Nuclear reactors, that are modern, away from potential earthquakes, tidal waves and learn to store waste or use it? What is that? $2 Trillion dollars over say 10 years? They wasted that much how many times over since Obama was Prex?

I was watching old time series called “Sliders”. One of the first episodes from 1995 had a new ice age. In the first episode they talked about the global climate cooling.

Global warming is as real as this category they call Covid cases and another called Covid deaths.

Get back to me when there are excess deaths. Tell me why we need to vaxx children who very rarely have symptoms, and die from the virus at a rate of was it 250 or so in the total time since Feb 2020? There are close to 4 million children in every age group from 5 to 25, so 250 out of 80 million roughly? More died from drownings I would be willing to bet.

It appears the support for electric vehicles slow Joe was crowing about is over. So much for the EV revolution the democrats were pushing.

The endgame: our freedoms obviously.
2. Without the freedoms to drive ourselves we cannot rebel. Once they get that piece of the chess game in place we will be in “check”
3. C-19 is a distraction now. People are not connecting the dots AND we are divided in strange ways
4. Without a Vax we cannot ride on these supposed mass transit wonders, and/or the unvaxxed get their own “special” trains
5. Is the supply chain “problem” due to C19, or was it created to cripple the trucking industry?
6. Dark winter. What did the evil freak mean by that? Freezing us out?
7. The whole thing when looked at together is a type of SIEGE against the U.S. people. It is a war move. From possible freezing people to starving to taking away their jobs to preventing travel.

LOOK AT THE WHOLE PICTURE! How is this crap Branden is bringing about any different than being in an occupied Britain during WW2?

At $5 a gallon across the US, the sound of slides being pulled back, bolts being drawn, and weapons being loaded will be cacophonous. It might happen this winter when heating oil hits a new record during our record colds caused by global warming...lol.
