Polling shows that President Joe Biden has suffered a larger approval rating drop at the start of his term than any president since World War II.
New polling from Gallup shows that Biden’s approval rating dropped from 56% in Q1 to 44.7% in Q3 which represents an 11.3% drop that has not been experienced by any president since World War II.

That would have to have been Truman, right? But Truman took over from / completed FDR's (fourth) term. And the first few months of Truman's presidency saw the end of the war against Japan.

In the case of Hoover, "...any other president since before WW II" would have been more correct.
And "since the start of the Great Depression" would have been even better!
I doubt that it could have been FDR - ever!
And I doubt that it could have been Truman's first (partial) term.
Would make sense only if referring to Truman's 2nd term - but that was long after WW II.

(In the end, I wish that I had voted for the person nominated for and then turfed by the Greens in my riding for comparing the COVID paper requirement to the Nazi behaviour—but I had two other people that I was already able to hold my nose for and choose between, though the leader of the part of one of them made the choice simpler for me.)

They only counted presidents elected into office, so Johnson and Truman weren’t listed. “Since WW 2” might just mean that they didn’t take that detailed of polls for Roosevelt and ealier.
Biden’s voter approval means nothing to the Left. They are so assured of their complete victory that they contemptuously installed a person with dementia as president with a scatter-brained idiot waiting in the wings to take his place. And, his handlers (the “White House”) on occasion are bold enough to taunt the American people by displaying the befuddled old man in all his dementia and probably snicker and giggle about it in private.
