You drive a “Free Candy” van?
A while back, while stuck in a dentist chair, a local news program was playing on the telescreen. The topic of the day was eating cooked cicadas. A group of adults all sampled and swallowed the prepared bugs and grudgingly agreed that they were edible.
There was, however, one child in the group. He popped a cicada in his mouth and instantly spit it out. LOL!
He wasn’t old enough to have learned adult dishonesty.
Eff that. Iām not eating bugs.
I din’t watch this latest NOVA. In the last few I have seen, virtually all of the scientists featured, except for the very oldest ones, were women, often minority women. I had no idea that women apparently completely dominate the field of sub-atomic physics.
Tomorrow cricket burgers will be mandatory.
They say that Western cultures are the only ones that don’t eat insects. Personally I prefer to keep it that way.
If they’re talking about those big aquatic bugs they catch in traps off the coat of Maine, I’m all in. Their little cousins farmed down in Louisiana aren’t too bad either.
I have magic chickens. They turn bugs into eggs.
I once ate a cricket soaked in plum sauce at a sushi bar. Full disclosure, this was after drinking two of those large Kirin beers. š

Lobsters, crawdads, etc — all bugs. And, I’m not going into what oysters are.
If they have meat on them, OK. OTOHand, if all they have is a crunch, I’ll stick with tater chips.
I have a half-acre yard full of all sorts of little critters the buggourmands can munch on any time they have a hankering for a snack. They’ll have to fight off the birds, though.
Don’t you stupid people understand:
Meat of any kind is bad for the unwashed masses; and contribute to global warming!
You must be content with eating tasty non-meat alternatives.
Meat may only be consumed by those having a special permit issued by the ministry of improved public health and domestic protection.
So follow the science you dirty, uneducated, conservative, religious, serving class.
I live in Kansas, so I will just have to settle for Beef!
