America’s Intelligence Community -- A study in consistent failure
American Thinker ^ | 10/20/2021 | James Poplar

The recent successful launch of a hypersonic nuclear-capable missile by China once again provides unwelcomed justification that our Intelligence Community continues to miss the mark. Unfortunately, we currently have no defensive system capable of engaging this threat to our national survival. Despite the fact that as a nation we expend billions of dollars to fund numerous three-letter agencies, history has proven that those who are charged with reading the intentions and capabilities of our potential competitors are never able to get it quite right. This week’s unpleasant “surprise” is yet again another in an extensive list of American intelligence failures.

During my lifetime I have unfortunately seen first-hand:

During The Cold War, the CIA et al, had difficulties in placing intelligence personnel in the Soviet Union, and inside Communist China. Their calculated lifespan was near to one whole week!

In recent times, once again, I think the word ‘assimilation’ has not been the Forte of the intelligence groups.

I say this as a definition, to measure this author’s hit piece, seemingly emanating from a more youthful view, which lacks any historical background aside from what could be culled from “Google”.

“Unfortunately, we currently have no defensive system capable of engaging this threat to our national survival. “

Really? A dinky dart with no particular payload capacity is a “threat to our national SURVIVAL”?!

Warmongering panic-sowers have been the bane of our nation for the last 80+ years, spreading their propaganda and chicken-little wet dreams in the all too successful effort to rally the ignorant masses to pay for massive weapons programs and purchases, and push the role of the US as global cop/social worker.

The ever-popular “GAP” keeps showing up - armor gap, missile gap, bomber gap, more, more, ever more spending.... for what?

We test weapons ALL THE TIME that should (and do) scare the living cr*p out of all kinds of potential enemies, and yet some of us whizz ourselves over a minor test of a single weapon type and thus another PANIC is begun.

Time to buy your mil-industrial-complex stocks, boys - the stampede is on!

“National survival” - humph. Not buying ANY of this bull cr*p anymore.

We pretty much lost our intelligence community when Bush exposed Valerie Plame. She was our undercover asset that would have seen all this coming. And all the other good spies quit because they were afraid they would be outed also. Bush’s fault.

50 years or so of AFFIRMATIVE ACTION (hiring people based upon race, gender, sexual predilections, party affiliation, nepotism, color of hair, various handicaps etc. has damaged intelligence gathering just like it has the rest of our society.

Add to AFFIRMATIVE ACTION that no one is held accountable, heads never roll and people become complacent. So, ultimately, the employee rank and file just don’t give a damn. They become ambidextrous pay check grabbers.

No surprise then that the so called “INTELLIGENCE” Community is AFFIRMATIVE ACTION DUMB ! An ALL OUT Chinese attack on America will make Pearl Harbor and 911 look like a walk in the park. MILLIONS of us will be dead......instantly.

The CIA is a mafia used by the oligarch overlord class as debt collector leg breakers in the 3rd World. The CIA/Wall St. debt farmers are the reason the 3rd world finds Marxism an attractive alternative to debt slavery.

We’re decaying like the Roman Empire and we aint even really an empire yet. We’re only an oligarchy, starting with SCOTUS telling us that no one in America had standing in Berg vs. Obama.
