Southwest Airlines dropped a plan to put unvaccinated workers with pending exemptions on unpaid leave after a December 8 deadline following protests by their employees.
“The employee will continue to work, while following all COVID mask and distancing guidelines applicable to their position, until the accommodation has been processed,” according to an internal note obtained by CNBC written by Southwest’s Senior Vice President of Operations and Hospitality Steve Goldberg and Vice President and Chief People Officer Julie Weber.
Last week, Southwest Airlines canceled hundreds of flights in what reportedly was an employee “sick out,” although the company blamed the weather for the cancelations. Following that, Southwest Airlines employees were captured on video protesting the vaccination requirement outside of the airlines’ Texas headquarters.

The pilots led the way and sued Southwest.
The Southwest Airlines Pilots Association fought the tyranny in court.
“The new vaccine mandate unlawfully imposes new conditions of employment and the new policy threatens termination of any pilot not fully vaccinated by December 8, 2021,” the legal filing said. “Southwest Airlines’ additional new and unilateral modification of the parties’ collective bargaining agreement is in clear violation of the RLA.”
I guess that business plan didn’t work out so swell.

I heard that this is not a done deal. The deadlines for the vax mandate hit right before Thanksgiving and holiday travel. A person I know says this is spin for right now. I hope it’s true though. Wait and see. Never would have happened under the former CEO.
We need to be suing these companies and the government every which way from Sunday, just keep them busy, tied up, wasting money, do law-fare on them the way the left has done to us the last 40-50 years.
