Ah figgered you’d get the reference...
Thank God we have a SCOTUS that we can trust to follow the Constitution.

We don’t have a ‘Tax Gap’, we have a SPENDING GAP..................
I thought that was what I said.
She did not back down. She still thinks it is a good idea.
She is nuts.
I’d be surprised if the courts sided with the proposal. I doubt judges would want the IRS monitoring their yearly cash flows. A badly written law or a poor implementation of the law would make it easy to overturn it.
This stinks just as bad at a $10,000 threshold as it does at 600.
Reality101:
1. There will be groups exempted....i.e. Congress, IRS, etc...
2. Overturn the law? The Constitution is totally meaningless now.
The $10,000 threshold is ANNUAL....i.e. $833 per month which is basically NO CHANGE from the $600/mo threshold.
To the tumbrils with them........ off with their heads

HEAR! HEAR!.....................
A) We have no workers to pay taxes!
1) They have been gleefully aborted since 1972 in the millions.B) There are no small businesses left to employ people who can pay taxes. The COVID lockdowns did that.
2) They have withdrawn from the work force due to either COVID fear or refusal to wear the masks or because of the draconian mandates.
It’s sort of two different issues but not.
They won’t go after illegals.
They will claim that all the untaxed money is by citizens..which it is not.
That just need an excuse and then the propagandist media will back them up..as per usual.
And we lose more and more of our freedom.
Next step:
CONFISCATION.....................................
You can only tick off and gaslight someone so much before they get the idea that everything you say is a threat or a lie. I think the American public — including a whole lot of Democrats — is finally getting sick of being played.
Thank you! That looks like the beginning of a letter to the three who allegedly represent me in the US congress.
Fully agree!
There is no mechanism for the transmission of this data.
There is no no mechanism in place, in banks right now, that they can use to collect such transactions and delivery them to Big Brother. Of course they have computers, but they don’t have definition of what to send, frequency, format. The bank may not even be in a format that can be used. They would have to build all of that in.
How will a bank properly “identify” an individual? This is another problem and a legal one.
There are other details which need to be defined....for example, what happens when an account owner, whose name is on more than one account in two different banks, and this person moves money from one bank account to another bank account?
Of course, the cluster “f” known as the IRS is going to try and manage this information - to do what exactly? That needs to be explained in detail.
I can think or a dozen things that can go wrong with this. This seems like a “hack” or band-aid in a much larger process which always has problems.
The govt would probably collect more revenue if the tax code was easier to work with and there wasn’t a need for all this administration. That will never happen though.
