Former President Donald Trump says he would not mandate COVID-19 vaccines if he were still in office because he’d “sell it” to people to take voluntarily.
President Biden last month announced that most federal workers must get vaccinated or face losing their jobs and that companies with 100 or more employees must require shots or regular testing — drawing pushback from critics who accused him of overreach.
“I wouldn’t say to anybody, ‘You have to.’ But I would sell it. Look, I’m very proud of what we did with the vaccines,” Trump told political news host Bill O’Reilly in an interview that will air at 8 p.m. Monday on The First TV. “It was supposed to take five years and they said it wasn’t going to work. I did three vaccines in less than nine months and they do work, they work really well.”

I agree with your take on it also.
I would further suggest every person who works for a said
concern, should simply walk off the job if one segment is
attacked like this.
If I were working and a segment was being fired, I’d walk
out until they returned.
If 100% of the staff did this, it would end the problem
day one.
He doesn’t get it. Fauci should have been fired years ago. I wouldn’t be surprised if by an act of God, because that’s what it will take because the marxists still count the votes, Trump gets back in there...and STILL doesn’t fire Fauci.
Link would be great.
Getting ready to enjoy some red wine and home-made brownies my wife made. I have linked it numerous times, as well as other Executive orders. You’ll find them in forum on my page. I have not posted much, they should be easy enough to find.
Pretty easy to find:
Why I stand corrected. Although it does not indicate a prohibition on the use of egg based vaccine development, it does appear the trend is strong in the use of alternatives...I guess that would be mRNA.
Thanx
Enjoy your wine and brownies. Here’s a lil baked crow to go along with that.
Ya know...damnit, nothing surprises me now. Good grief!
I do agree in principle. However a consideration is Unemployment Benefits. I can’t say for each State but in my state if you quit you can’t file for unemployment.
There are going to many law suits both Federal and at the State levels before this travesty is even close to being resolved.
Another hypothetical is what happens when workers with the vaccine refuse to work with those who don’t have it? I can possibly see law suits being filed from that direction as well.
Hopefully the Supreme Court will rule quickly on the Constitutionality of the mandates.
One thing I can say with certainty is I will never forgive or forget anyone who aligns themselves with The New American Marxist Party, previously known as the Democrat Party.
And I hold just short of that contempt for many in the GOP.
And that my friend could lead us into a very lengthy and possibly contentious discussion about the health and future of the Republic and “We the People ... “.

Unfortunately, he had more than one wrong opinion.
Yeah, I was unaware of it before as well, until I looked at it a bit ago. Very Disappointing.
I doubt Trump any actual input into it; probably something Jared and or Pence schemed with Fauci / Moderna / Phizer etc. with and wrote up for Trump’s signature. Like I said earlier, he is very naive on most tech stuff, and often trusts the wrong people for advice on things he doesn’t understand.
Good comments and reminders there.
I agree with your conclusion also.
People are in for a hell of a surprise when they find out
how big a pariah we weren’t.
China and Russia will show them soon enough.
A great reminder NOT to put faith in men.
All men fail. Occasionally, in spectacular ways. Like this.
Pride kills.
I think Trump would’ve listened to us about Novavax, and it would’ve been available in the U.S. by now.
My guess is that Trump would have collected good data and would be in a better position to know whether the vaccines are a good idea.
Haha - good choice.
I would hope you have a long time trusted PCP.
As for the rest:
Try taking a look at highly vacc’d UK’s data. High case numbers (just look at that area under the Delta portion of the curve!) but low severe / critical cases, fatalities and CFR, compared to the prior wave.
That’s all the vaccine mfgr’s ever really promised.
At the time of the initial EUA’s there were no guarantees from the mfgr’s on duration of immunity / efficacy beyond the tests done. And I fail to see why people expect better than 6 months or so on average. Flu vaccines are no better!
High case rate and low fatality rate: I thought that’s what most FReepers wanted! What a bunch of inconsistent boobs most have become...
That said, I also have little confidence acquired immunity to COVID will be any better than acquired immunity to flu. Why would I?
(Some of) the (bad) “jokes” are:
Mo’ Nature’s adaptation (Delta) regardless of the original source of COVID. (Lyric from Godzilla by Blue Oyster Cult.)
CDC (etc.) incompetence in educating the populace.
Libs’ competence in using a crisis.
Echo chambers.
Vaccine mandates (which I oppose even though I plan to get a Moderna booster shot myself.)
Go back and watch news from earlier in the year - they were definitely saying it would cut down the transmission. They are still essentially saying that by requiring vaccines and saying that the unvaccinated are killing people.
just watch the message change over time, short video.

Lol
If you're 'selling' the vaccine then aren't you also 'pushing' it?
