Not a big fan of either man, but at least Powell had the integrity to resign/retire from his position as Chairman of the Joint Chiefs when he saw Clinton/Aspin politics undermining military operations in Somalia.
Powell, and his UN pals... stopped General Schwarzkopf from entering Baghdad and seizing Saddam... in the first Gulf War- thereby settling the issue of Iraq, and removing the the Baathists, and saving the lives of millions of marsh Arab Iraqi shiites (possibly why they allowed the Sunnis to stay in power and take the shiites out).
The amount of praise being heaped on this general— trying to compare him to ... Eisenhower!!!! is utterly ridiculous. He feathered his nest, having done proper combat service in Vietnam. He also willingly and knowingly LIED about the Plame incident— he knew all about yellowcake uranium in Iraq, and as SecState he BS’d everyone. A Bush family stooge, who early on lost his promise as a true military leader and not a pencil pusher. Schwarzkopf and other military leaders have their memoir opinions of this guy.
Colin Powell supported a now well established MARXIST for present dent.... Obamaumao the first. There is NOTHING to redeem him from that black on black action. And he was a wheeler dealer— not a military “genius” not even close.
