Average age of “Covid death” is greater than the average life expectancy. The average age of a “Covid death” in the UK is 82.5 years. In Italy it’s 86. Germany, 83. Switzerland, 86. Canada, 86. The US, 78, Australia, 82.

In almost all cases the median age of a “Covid death” is higher than the national life expectancy.

As such, for most of the world, the “pandemic” has had little-to-no impact on life expectancy. Contrast this with the Spanish flu, which saw a 28% drop in life expectancy in the US in just over a year.

While this story directly attributes a fatality with Covid, I continue to be fascinated by the absolute focus on mortality for Covid. There are substantial financial costs and limited resource consumption associated with treating Covid morbidities.

Powell didn't have to go into Iraq. We could have eradicated the Republican Guard presence in Iraq, seriously affecting Saddam's ability to hold on to power. The truce we negotiated with Saddam at the conclusion of Desert Storm was seriously flawed. Powell stopped the fighting three days too early.

I was assigned to our Embassy in Riyadh and was present for Dersert Shield/Storm from start to finish. I went up to Kuwait two days after the war was over. Witnessed the burning oil fields and the "Highway of death" from the air and on the ground.

The “Highway of Death” didn’t have that much death. Iraqi soldiers commandeering vehicles to take out all they looted from homes in Kuwait City. Most of the Iraqis fled unharmed from the vehicles before they were shot up.

Initially, we were supposed to flatten the curve so the medical facilities were not overwhelmed. We were going to live with the virus.

Then the mission was changed to eradicating the virus thru vaccination. And we are not confining vaccination to the most at risk groups, but instead, vaccinating everyone.

What are the costs of the lockdowns and mandates? How many routine medical screens have been delayed and postponed? How many school children have been hurt by distance learning and the lack of socialization?

Our public health policies are doing far more damage than the virus. The Spanish Flu of 1918 was resolved thru herd immunity. The jury is still out on the effectiveness of the vaccines and their role in causing mutations. We are not following the science.

Colin Powell, 84, was reportedly fully vaccinated for covid. But he had multiple myeloma, an immune system cancer that makes any vaccine less effective.

Moreover, multiple myeloma, although it can be managed for years with certain drugs, is at least potentially deadly over time. Did Powell die of covid complications or multiple myeloma, or some combination? I don’t know.
