Strike dodged with deal between film and TV crews, studios

An 11th-hour deal was reached Saturday, averting a strike of film and television crews that would have seen some 60,000 behind-the-scenes workers walk off their jobs and would have frozen productions in Hollywood and across the U.S.

After days of marathon negotiations, representatives from the International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees and from the studios and entertainment companies who employ them reached the three-year contract agreement before a Monday strike deadline, avoiding a serious setback for an industry that had just gotten back to work after long pandemic shutdowns.

If they had gone on strike would you have had a chance to fire a bunch of liberals and watch them cry?

(I like your tagline. LOL!)

Yes, these days it’s a sad day for humanity when Hollywood is open for business.

Also, Raul Julia was great as M. Bison.

“I’m sorry, I don’t remember any of it. … For you, the day Bison graced your village was the most important day of your life. But for me: it was Tuesday.”

I’ve been doing DVDs for a while now while my family rolls their eyes because now you can stream everything.

That is, whatever they aren’t censoring.

When I own the DVD, I can watch what I want, when I want and don’t have to depend on whether someone decides to blacklist it for some garbage PC reason.

Darn.

I was looking forward to their being no new TV episodes where a man refers to another man as his “husband.”

I’m disappointed, I was hoping for a long extended strike were Hollywood couldn’t produce any more garbage for a while.

It’s gonna happen. My unions in the biz always go on strike whether I like it or not and it’s next week. I hate it when they make me go on the stupid effing picket line years ago when Id rather be at the beach.

and yeah: like clockwork we fired 2 liberals last year November 5th as our sacrificial lambs to our god of Orange named Trump. We wont do it this year but 2022, we will make sure to hire a tranny and make the creature cry.
