Four candidates backed by Donald Trump to challenge Republican lawmakers who voted to impeach him or boot him from office are falling behind in raising money for their campaigns, according to disclosures filed on Friday.
Trump, who left office in January, remains a major influence within the Republican party, which hopes to regain control of the U.S. Congress in next year's elections.
Only a handful of Republicans joined Democrats when Congress voted to impeach Trump and then held an unsuccessful vote in the Senate to remove him from office, on a charge he incited insurrectionists to attack the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6.
Trump has called the Republicans who crossed him "disloyal" or "losers," and they have faced scorn within their party. Several have said they will retire or not seek re-election.

The ENTIRE ruling establishment is pouring money into these incumbents' campaigns. Democrats are funding Liz Cheney now (see below story)
But how many times have we seen stories where a candidate was outspent 10-1 and yet still won the race because the people were behind them. Money for ads and fliers and mailers don't mean anything if the people don't pay any attention.
Jeb Bush raised over $100 million and went nowhere.
Michael Bloomberg SPENT over $1 BILLION and went nowhere.
If massive fundraising doesn't get you votes, then it's just TV commercials.
These worthless politicians can be defeated by the PEOPLE!
And their defeat is coming.
The money is being donated to President Trump for distribution. More idiocy from leftist propagandists.
Cotton...well said!
If it is a fair election without fraud, the nationalistic capitalists will soundly defeat the globalist socialists.
Occasionally, but not very often overall.
Money for ads and fliers and mailers don't mean anything if the people don't pay any attention.
But many people do, even if only passively. The perception of Biden by much of the electorate was shaped by an aggressive, mostly unresponded to, mass media campaign including networks and venues where campaign advertising is very light and therefore it was not crowded out. Very few saw the real Joe Biden in that campaign. It was scary how well done and produced those ads were presenting this magnificent Joe Biden to the public - with no competing message despite so much material (video of Biden talking about hairy legs which could have made an entire ad, Biden cussing people out and threatening to fight them, media coverage blasting him for plagiarizing, not being able to complete a single sentence for over a minute,etc.). The alarm bells were ringing on this as it was being observed and people were attacked as "concern trolls."
Money isn't everything, but it is certainly something. Ignore it at your own peril. Money alone doesn't win a battle - but it certainly helps.
Jeb Bush raised over $100 million and went nowhere.
Careful, you’re going to make Karl Rove cry with talk like that.
I would never send cash to a Liz Cheney supporting (until she wasn’t), RNC RINO hack like Hageman. Trump needs to do HIS OWN research on the candidates he endorses. Most I’ve seen are just as horrible as the majority of his cabinet picks.
Broken glass Trump voters don’t need no stinking funding to get them to vote for a MAGA candidate.
And there’s not enough money on earth to get us to vote for a Deep Stater.
Which is why Deep State has to steal elections, eh...
Of course
Democrats are pouring money into Leftist Republican campaigns like Cheney in WY.
Problem is money is not king. Jeb Bush spent $132 million and got 3% of the vote in 2016
Trump endorsed (RINOs)
Kelly Tshibaka (Murkowski)
Harriet Hageman (Cheney)
Steve Carra (fred Upton MI)
Joe Kent (Herrera Beutler)
Max Miller (Anthony Gonzalez - not running OH)
“Occasionally, but not very often overall.”
In a close race the money can make a difference as long as the enthusiasm is equal on both sides. But look what happened in 2016, Trump was hugely outspent by Clinton and we saw what happened.
For a well informed public, campaign ads which are mostly lies anyway will not carry the same weight as the truth.
As expected. No outsider supported candidates will be tolerated. “THEY” don’t care what happens as long as it isn’t beneficial to Trump or his legacy. Trump supported candidates, the long knives are out. The commiecrats are out to get you and anyone like you or that supports you. Never thought I’d see the day that all this bullying is fully supported by the powers that be. Hell, they’re doing a lot(or most) of it themselves. SMDH!
Listen up concern troll, it wasn’t that there weren’t competing messages, it was that they were suppressed by big tech and the media oligarchs. And when the R message was reported on, it was always in the most negative way possible. Either way with voter fraud and ballot box stuffing with the help of the USPS, it would not have mattered what message President Trump put out, the only people who heard it without the progressive socialist demonrat filter were those that went to his rallies. Again, Trump was drawing crowds in the 50000 range, Biden couldn’t fill a kindergarten class room. I am so sick of these trolls that constantly try to downplay the stolen part of the election.
Where is the national organization to advance the MAGA agenda?
Either we isolate them(on the island of irrelevancy), or they'll isolate us(with the same).
The most dangerous enemy is not the one in front, it's the one in back, the one you put trust in, the one you least expect...who shoves a knife in your back.
Purposefully or not...the Trump Presidency exposed these cretins for who they REALLY are, and how they treated conservatives/conservatism as a means to an end(basically, useful idiots)deep state cultists that didn't actually share in ANY conservative core principles, most notably, the Constitution or a free Republic.
...theirs is only the blood-lust quest to become one with the oligarchy/ruling-class.
Most fliers messages contain platitudes and pabulum. Waste of money.
Remember the good old days when “take the money out of Politics” was the mantra of the Left?
