The "future of this country" depends on who is indicted next in special counsel John Durham's criminal inquiry into the Russia investigation, warned a top House Republican.
Rep. Devin Nunes, ranking member of the House Intelligence Committee, said Thursday that trust in the Justice Department and FBI among conservatives nationwide hangs in the balance....
..."Durham is still out there," he said. "For the Department of Justice and the FBI to have any support amongst conservatives or half of this country, it’s going to really depend on who Durham indicts, and I think that is what a lot of us are waiting for."...

“the future hinges...” is not quite a good assessment
The deep state is already entrenched, in control, and emboldened. they conducted a coup in 2020.
The only slight hope that Durham offers is that by revealing the shocking collusion of America’s political class and America’s intelligence agencies, Americans might be motivated to take action
But I doubt it
Don’t hold your breath Devin…
Think “Enough” people have finally had their fill to get off their butts and do something? At 61, the pen for me carries a heavier weight than marching. But I’ll do it, if necessary.
What I care most about is elections. What happened in 2020 was such a disgrace, an in your face blatant theft just to get rid of Trump. Our votes were stolen on a massive scale. And those Republicans in Congress DID NOTHING.
Blah blah blah yada yada yada.......
We here did nothing but bitch and moan. We are at root apathetic and lazy
“In Congress, Nunes’s investigations never went beyond the investigation stage.“
Congress is not an investigative body.
Agree with that and give your About page a thumbs up.
Perhaps the one thing that would excuse Durhman's seemingly slow rate of speed is that it may be reckless for him to announce charges so long as there is a Dem admin in office. Such could bring a flood of presidential pardons and grants of immunity by federal prosecutors.
The Left and the anti-MAGA's (which includes RINO's) have been at work for decades and do not easily give ground. They are well-entrenched and even charging underlings can pinpoint higher placed, "in the news everyday" former and current officials.
Some are. Not me.
We need to pray for Durham, and that he’ll do the right thing.
Durham should have at least 100 indictments the issue is trust in the Justice Department and FBI is real iffy a shady lot at best.
Look how they have handles things over the last four years.
crickets
So you are saying we are doomed then?
You may have noticed the AG is the determining factor in Justice and Garland has no trouble charging whomever congress or the President want charged. Barr offered no such option, then of course neither did Ryan.
“ What I care most about is elections”
You are most about elections, yet when your guys win they do nothing. There’s a message in that.
Voting isn’t going to fix this problem.
Fair and free elections means I choose by my vote who gets in:
1. I’m over 60. How many of those election cycles have been free and fair? 2020 sure as hell wasnt. So the question is who is putting these people in what offices?
2. Secondly, we all have regretted a vote or two I bet. But the upside to that is by ensuring a free and fair electoral system -paper ballots & voter Id- then any do nothing politician can be voted out.
Our cherished right of One Man One Vote doesn’t exist any more, proven by the Presidential election of 2020, and that should scare the hell out of you. It does me.
Without an honest electoral system, we don’t have a country.
Durham is a traitor. Expect nothing from him but suspense and lip service.
He still doesn’t exist.
When exactly do you think Durham was appointed?
How long do you think this type of investigation typically takes? I mean the kind with actual evidence and proof, and involves more than just the actual small fish?
Now, taking a long time is not evidence he is doing his job, and I’m dubious, but playing Princess Stompyfoot isn’t reasonable either.
Nunes is right. If Durham fails, we are a Banana Republic.
Some will say we already are a Banana Republic.
Congress has no jurisdiction to indict. Congress can only recommend.
The nation exists.
