A family in Evansville, Indiana went to a local Walgreens to have each member, including two young children, receive a flu shot. During the appointment, all members of the party including the two children were “accidentally” given full adult does of the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine, according to the family’s lawyer. The children, four and five years old, were born in 2016 and 2017, as revealed by the vaccination cards provided to the family by Walgreens.
After the alleged vaccine mix up, both children are now experiencing signs of “heart issues,” according to their pediatrician. The younger child is sick with a cough and fever, according to the report by KWTX.
Myocarditis, a heart condition involving fluid accumulating near the heart, has been found to be a rare side effect of the Pfizer vaccine but seems to grow more common in younger male individuals. Adverse reactions to the vaccines seem to become far less likely the older the person who receives it becomes, according to current medical research.
“The family said they left the pharmacy thinking they had received their flu shots, but a Walgreens employee later called them and said they had made a mistake. The local news agency attempted to get comment from Walgreens regarding the matter, but has not received a response. This comes as the pharmaceutical giant Pfizer is seeking to gain FDA emergency use authorization to vaccinate children ages 5-11, according to multiple reports.
As National File reported, a recently-released CDC data set detailing provisional COVID deaths by age from January 1st, 2020 to September 15th, 2021 appear to show that less child deaths were linked to COVID in that time-frame than would have died from the flu in a typical year.

I have always gotten the flu shot in the Fall of every year. Usually, I might have a sore arm or feel a little out of sorts for a day or two at the worst. However, this year’s shot is quite powerful, and I felt worn out and under the weather for four days.
More details needed here. Before you get any vaccine at these pharmacies, you have to provide your info and medical history and sign consent and disclaimer forms. They also review which vaccine you’re getting and provide vax card PRIOR to adminstering the dose. So did the parent consent to thevvax and is now looking for a scapegoat or did the pharmacy put the wrong stuff in the vile?

That’s phase 1 that is in a very limited number of subjects. The large dose was the full adult dose of 30 mcg. Phase 3 is the large study. They dose picked for the Phase 3 trial for children 5-11 was 10 mcg which is one-third the adult dose. I see that they also had an experimental trial for a lower dose for the 16 - 30 age group.

That is the name of it, Phase 1/2/3. They don’t state on that page how many participants.

The Delta variant is much better adapted to transmission in humans. Babies and toddlers like my 19 month old son are much more vulnerable to the Delta variant than than the original variant. Later variants are even more likely to attack babies, toddlers, and young children than the original variant. I would prefer to get him vaccinated before more toddlers start showing up in emergency rooms. All the adults around him are fully vaccinated. The studies are being done so pharmaceutical companies know what doses to use in phase 3 trials leading to approval for an EUA.
Georgia is coming off it’s delta wave, we did not have any uptick in child hospitalizations or deaths.

South Texas has had almost full pediatric ICU's in the most recent Delta surge. Pfizer is testing a 10 mcg dose for children 6 months - 4 years. Moderna is likewise testing a 10 mcg dose for that age group. That is 10% of the adult Moderna dose.
