US police are investigating video showing a black man being dragged from his car by officers as he repeatedly screams "I'm paraplegic".
Bodycam footage shows officers stopping Clifford Owensby in Dayton, Ohio, last month and asking him to step out of his car so they can search it for drugs.
Mr Owensby, 39, refuses, saying he does not have use of his legs.
The officers insist he must get out and then pull him from the vehicle by his hair and arms as he calls for help.
The Dayton Police Department says it is now investigating the incident that took place on 30 September.
Authorities say the officers stopped Mr Owensby because he was driving away from a house suspected of hosting involvement in drugs. Police say they found a bag of cash containing $22,450 (£16,500) in the car.
Mr Owensby has not been charged over any drug-related offences.
During the incident, Mr Owensby repeatedly refuses requests to leave the car, although officers do say they will help him out.
Mr Owensby asks an officer to call in a "white shirt", meaning a superior.
"Here's the thing, I'm going to pull you out and then I'll call a white shirt," an officer replies.
As his frustration increases, he says: "You can co-operate and get out of the car or I'll drag you out of the car. Do you see your two options here?"
Dayton's mayor Nan Whaley described the footage as "very concerning".
Civil rights groups say they are also looking into the incident.

A couple of things - He might have had access to serious drugs, and so could have been selling those for cash. However, merely having cash is not a crime.
Secondly, the cops should have noticed the hand controls that are typical in paraplegic automobiles.
Yep. It would be interesting to see this “paraplegic” video recorded getting into and out of his car on one of his “normal” days. That’s done with suspicious workman’s comp claimants and frequently yields interesting results.

And the blue Ohio handicap hang-tag like I have, or a handicap registration plate. Simple.
If he was displaying those, or had obvious hand controls, they're guilty.
If not he was just faking.
Driving as a disabled person is easy and done way more than you imagine—I know this for a fact because Ive been a wheelchair user my entire life and I drive everyday.
I had a situation in the 70’s where a state trooper stopped me at 3am on a country road. Had been to a wedding and was on my way home. Trooper ordered me at gun-point to get out of car...I tried to explain I was in a wheelchair which was in my backseat. He would have none of it...as I reached for my wheelchair he told me if I moved I was dead...After a couple minutes of deescalation I was able to get him to shine his flashlight into my backseat and my life was saved. I will NEVER trust another cop.
A White person screaming “I’m paraplegic” would be lying bruised in a hospital moaning and groaning.
And there would be no reporters around.
The cops hated the color of his skin, obviously. Sarcasm.

Well, if he’s a paraplegic he obviously needs to be pulled out of the vehicle.
