Storable food mega-supplier Augason Farms has ceased operations for 90 days, citing, “global raw-material shortages” and “substantial delays” in procurement and production. “Regrettably, BCG [the parent company owner of Augason Farms] cannot fulfill your orders on time; therefore, this letter communicates our decision to suspend business for the next 90 days, effective immediately,” says an October 7th, 2021 letter issued by Mark Augason, President of Augason Farms, to Augason Farms distributors and retailers (see letter below).
“During these 90 days, we will secure and stockpile raw materials and take measures to accelerate our round-the-clock production output,” the letter continues. “We are confident that this reset period will help us better serve you with on-time, complete shipments in the future,” the letter adds.
Augason Farms has been a large-scale retailer on Amazon.com, Walmart and many other retail outlets, typically offering non-organic dried fruits, vegetables and meal mixes to the preparedness and survival community.
The full letter is shown here:
In addition to this letter to its distributors and retailers, the Augason Farms website has announced it is no longer processing online orders from customers. “Due to an extremely high order volume through all sales channels we are currently not able to receive any orders through our web site,” said an on-site message on Oct. 8th.
“We expect to turn this site back on just as soon as possible.”
For the record, we were disturbed to learn about this development. It is yet further evidence of the accelerating collapse of food supply lines. As we have repeatedly warned, the world is about to be plunged into a “Dark Winter” of extreme food scarcity, power grid / energy scarcity and accelerating spike protein fatalities occurring among the vaccinated.
The shuttering of Augason Farms for 90 days is only going to worsen the food scarcity at retail, causing people to scramble even more aggressively to try to locate dwindling food supplies.
In my opinion, the brain dead Democrats only seek to throw more stimulus money at this problem, creating yet more fake fiat currency chasing an ever-shrinking supply of goods. And since you can’t eat stimulus money, all the stimulus in the world is pointless if the supply lines are collapsing. The problem in today’s economy isn’t a lack of stimulus money, it’s a lack of labor due to all the COVID lockdowns (which are completely nonsensical and based on irrational junk science). This lack of labor is getting translated into food supply chain disruptions and transportation / logistics nightmares that mean fewer goods are available to end customers.
I bought extra food, a small amount, a couple of weeks ago. Very small but for the food prep.
they probably are not lying
but they also probably got a lot of orders that took out their current stock or even current production
My guess is the packaging is the issue. No #10 cans mostly, but perhaps other materials as well. Likely food is not the problem.
Few people need their products as there are plenty of ‘normal’ foods that can be stored at room temperature, starting with most grains, particularly rice. After that, you have canned foods. They will take more room, are heavier, require more careful storage (particularly keeping bugs off of grains), and likely will have a shorter lifespan, but still 10 years or more.
But even so, as long as you have a small closet, you can be set for years.
It’s going to be a hard winter.
I have a lot of their products. I live in a rural place and can store, raise, and process most my food for long periods.
Last place you want to be is in a city these days.
Elections count.
Global economy is better yes.
Yes it is.
I kinda laugh at the programs that advertise bug out things.
A RV trailer is the ultimate bug out unit. Its got a shower, got toilet facilities and cooking facilities. Even the smallest of them have cooking facilities. A family of four can stay in a 19 foot RV if they have the generator/500 watt solar panel to recharge the battery's.
I put two 12 volt deep cells into mine and used a 500 watt solar to keep the charge in the battery's. At night I hooked it all up to my 3500 watt generator and let it run.
Water was the only problem I had. Had to make sure I had enough for the week while I was in it.
Had a TV and radio in there, a good air conditioner and used a cheap wally world electric heater at night.
And I stayed in it at 30 below temps. Cant use the water system at that temp though. If you do, you had better make sure the grey water is out of the pipes before you go to bed.
Perhaps, but also an opportunity for us to exploit this crisis. The other side simply won’t have answers. We will.
I bought a 24lb bucket of their whole wheat kernels at a salvage place a few weeks back. I think I’ll head over their again tomorrow and see if I can get some more.
I went to purchase dog and cat food and the shelves were almost empty. Stocked up on as many cans as possible.
Absolutely. I've been filling plastic, sealable bins with bags of rice and beans and stacking them here and there. I've augmented with canned meat, and large containers of picked peppers and spices. Then there are the 48-serving cases of beef, chicken and shrimp Raman noodles, the 60 cans of $0.88 ravioli that I've put back, and the miscellaneous other little things to serve as "treats" during difficult times.
Oh, and the large containers of crunchy peanut butter .. (in fact, I probably need to replenish those, as I've dipped into my stockpile of those over the past 18 months).
PREPPER HINT: Never mix M&M's with your large stored containers of mixed nuts. It just seems to evaporate!
Big trouble is coming.
Big trouble.
Best be ready.

Install a dirty pervert chomo and his merry band of Marxists and this is what you get. If you are thinking now is the time to prep, sadly, you are far too late.
Upgrade you battery bank. I do a lot of my cooking with my beloved instant pot, microwave, and water kettle. If I fry I use an induction stove. The one thing I can’t produce on my land is propane so I sip that for heat and diesel so I don’t run the generator. I even run electric blankets on the battery at night for warmth. A few adjustments and off grid living becomes easy and comfortable. Auguson use to be sold in the neighboring town walmart and I stocked up on dozens of cases pre Chomo Joe. It is utility food but still good for base recipes. If someone didn’t buy it pre kung flu, they aren’t getting any now.
I haven’t share this in some time, but here is my Preparedness Manual I put together some time ago

I know media Fire is not the best host but its free. I am looking into other services, but MediaFire will have to work for now.
Thank you.
I think food may be the problem. I had a talk with the produce manager at my local chain supermarket who told me he gets only 1/2 to 2/3 of whatever he orders. This appears to be a general issue, as a large chain sub shop near me closed this afternoon because it ran out of tomatoes and bread. This is not something we are used to in this country.
