The Shadow of Your Stall

Sweet land of liberty, of thee I sing:

~If you go to a small-town school-board meeting to protest an already crap and globally embarrassing eduction system devolving into toxic anti-white, anti-American propaganda, you are liable to investigation by a dirty, stinking, rotten, corrupt federal "justice" system and its specially appointed "task force";

~If you are an acclaimed glass-ceiling shatterer, the first "openly bisexual" and "openly non-theist" female senator in the history of the republic, you cannot enter a bathroom stall without being stalked, yelled at and filmed by a law-breaking alien who shouldn't even be in your country, never mind your toilet;

~If you have contracted Covid-19, survived, and are now possessed of antibodies that provide an immunity all the science (and the chaps at Pfizer) shows to be more effective and longer lasting than the vaccine, you will nevertheless be fired from your job at the local hospital;

~If you're a Californian, the state regulates the "gender" of your business partners, and the race of your "university" A-grades;

~If you are a respected geophysicist, you cannot give a lecture at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology about life on other planets because, with respect to the American corner of this particular planet, you have expressed views insufficiently supportive of identity-group "diversity" quotas that your expertise in extraterrestrial diversity cannot overcome;

~If you're thinking of buying a Chinese-made refrigerator or dining table, that transaction will now be reported to the United States Government;

~If you're worried about access to all human knowledge falling under the exclusive control of a handful of woke billionaires, you'll be glad to know that the new media darling is a Facebook "whistle-blower" blowing the whistle on Facebook for not doing more to suppress views antithetical to ruling-class orthodoxy.

The dirty stinking rotten corrupt US Department of Justice and its dirty stinking rotten corrupt FBI get that, which is why Merrick Garland (hailed by at least four Republican Solicitors-General as a "superbly qualified" moderate!) is happy to pull the G-men from their usual activities (agents provocateurs for gubernatorial kidnapping plots, peddlers of garage-door fake noose, frontmen for Christopher Steele's golden-showers fantasies, turners of blind eyes to the serial sexual assault of female gymnastics competitors, etc) and sic 'em on the PTA moms. Ol' Moderate Merrick huffs about "the rise in criminal conduct directed toward school personnel" but alleges not even a scintilla of evidence of any criminality. Absent such evidence, we have a regime so touchy that it cannot permit the slightest protest against the new state ideology even at the lowest level. As I said on Fox News Primetime a few months back, every red state is full of very blue school districts - and Moderate Merrick's G-men intend to keep it that way.

The “superbly qualified moderate’s” son in law and daughter are making millions publishing hate-filled trash denigrating this country and half its citizens (Trump voters are “racists” you know) to indoctrinate school children. The superbly qualified moderate in turn sics his FBI on their parents who dare to challenge publicly elected school boards on allowing the teaching of such filth in schools while the children of the “superbly qualified moderate” make a fortune off peddling such trash. As I’ve said too many times, WHERE are the congressional Republicans with their outrage and motions of impeachment while “superbly qualified moderates” tear this country apart by pulling out its roots and filling the minds of our children with hate.

Mark seems a little testy in this piece. The picture he paints ain’t a pretty one but is certainly right on.

His anger against the corruption in US government has been pretty vitriolic.

So, resist

The cowardly failure to resist with force is the death of America

I like him better testy. When he was sitting in for Rush, everything was, ‘yuk, yuk’ and frankly, I don’t find what is happening to this country funny, at all.

I ping two fine freepers whom I respect though I do so not at their request.
BobL because he has written well here on FR about voting for Republicans in elections as the lesser of two evils, that he might see what Steyn said about Garland,
And nathanbedford because he has written well here on FR about the convention of states, that he might see what Steyn said about constitutionalism.

Thanks BD,

The problem now with the country is very simple. The Constitution relied on every political player abiding by it. Which meant that if you had an idea, you took it through the political process, and if you lost, you tried to figure out why and maybe reworked it. Same for running for office, if you thought your ideas were good, you put them out and if you lose, you rework things and try again.

And that worked until about 2 generations ago, when, until then, the country identified and took out people who didn’t want to play by the rules, as in the McCarthy Hearings. But that changed and the country went on a guilt trip (aided greatly by the Soviets, as we now know) and by the time I was in college in the 1980s, there was open discussion by Communists planning violent overthrow of our system, with absolutely NO FEAR of being caught.

At the time, I guess, the adults still in charge probably figured that they would ‘outgrow’ their idealism and buy the house with the 2-car garage, have a dog, and 2.5 children.

Well, it didn’t happen that way - these people were very smart and very determined and took their left-wing Communism with them everywhere they went, and then recruited more and more of the same type...and they knew that they still had to appear nice, friendly, and on the side of just causes, at least until they reached critical mass. Our side, being inherently good people, just look people calling this out as NUT CASES, as our side could not comprehend well-off Americans hating this country.

So, when Levin and others think that reworking the Constitution is the answer, I just LAUGH. The Constitution ONLY constrains our side - the Constitution is long gone for the Left...Levin is in fantasy land.

And when some here get so mad at RINOs and think “Hell, just let the Democrats run everything, then the country will FINALLY understand them”. Works great until you consider that means HB-1 and packed courts - once that happens its game over for the US, at least for anyone over the age of 5 years old (and that includes the children and grandchildren of those geniuses saying that).

So, finally, as to RINOs. We keep hearing about how brave Sinema and Manchin are in protecting the filibuster and thereby keeping at least a dim flame alive for our future, and while certainly true, there are also 50 REPUBLICANS, including up to 19 RINOs (depending on what definition is used) doing the same. So 100% of Republicans (RINOs and all) keeping some life in the US, and 4% of Democrats doing the same...and yet some here want to roll the dice with the Democrats to save the country. Really?

Dennis Prager put things REALLY WELL when he compared Obama to Trump as role models for his grandchildren in their personal lives. By any standard, Obama wins - you marry one woman (of any looks, I guess), stay with her, have kids with her, and grow old with her. BUT!!!! We’re not talking role models for children, we’re talking about who’s going to leave our kids a livable country, and that was NOT Obama.

“...that he might see what Steyn said about Garland”

The thing was, the Republicans, led by RINO-in-Chief McConnell, kept Garland off of the Court. Something that many conservatives in his shoes might not have done, and CERTAINLY something that no Democrat would have done.
