One day after the Senate approved a temporary lift to the U.S. debt ceiling, Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell wrote in a letter to President Joe Biden that he would not aid Democrats again in raising the debt limit.

That Mitch McConnell is such a kidder. Of course he will help the Democrats raise the debt ceiling again.
How many times have I heard Republicans say this is the last time? He’ll cave again in December. You can’t shut down the paychecks from government families for Christmas you know.
McConnell blinked and now its to late to stop the Dems. He knew this was coming and allowed the Dems to have what they want at the expense of the American Taxpayer. Time for Mitch to retire. Term limits is the only solution for politicians like McConnell.
Turtle has a credibility problem, and maybe he’ll keep his promise. It seems weak as the horse is out of the barn, or the camel is under the tent. And his timing is off, it would be more powerful a statement later - Congress waits until the last minute to do anything. He should have waited until 2 - 3 weeks before the next deadline to make this statement, and watch the demonkkkraps eat each other alive and then implode.

Mitch is a liar, and so are most of his Republican colleagues.
Cocaine Mitch explained yesterday that he believed cooperating this time will play well for R’s in the midterms next year. And in a way he’s right, in the sense that it paints a primary target right on the back of every R Senator who voted with the Dems.
Someone needs to explain to McConnell, a threat only works one time. After that you are just blowing wind. And Mitch is blowing major wind.

The better solution for Senators like McCOnnell is repeal of the 17th Amendment. The composition of the US Senate would be entirely different today, and a lot of the bs from Peloser and Trojan Xiden would be stopped dead in its tracks. And states would have a stronger voice in dictating to DC instead of being their lackeys.
