Prosecutors are investigating whether cybersecurity contractors abused security clearances to feed the FBI false information linking Donald Trump to Russia.
Cybersecurity experts who held lucrative Pentagon and homeland security contracts and high-level security clearances are under investigation for potentially abusing their government privileges to aid a 2016 Clinton campaign plot to falsely link Donald Trump to Russia and trigger an FBI investigation of him and his campaign, according to several sources familiar with the work of Special Counsel John Durham.
Durham is investigating whether they were involved in a scheme to misuse sensitive, nonpublic internet data, which they had access to through their government contracts, to dredge up derogatory information on Trump on behalf of the Clinton campaign in 2016 and again in 2017, sources say — political dirt that sent FBI investigators on a wild goose chase. Prosecutors are also investigating whether some of the data presented to the FBI was faked or forged.
These sources, who spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss a sensitive law enforcement matter, said Durham’s investigators have subpoenaed the contractors to turn over documents and testify before a federal grand jury hearing the case. The investigators are exploring potential criminal charges including giving false information to federal agents and defrauding the government, the sources said.
The campaign plot was outlined by Durham last month in a 27-page indictment charging former Clinton campaign lawyer Michael Sussmann with making a false report to the FBI. The document cites eight individuals who allegedly conspired with Sussmann, but does not identify them by name.
The sources familiar with the probe have confirmed that the leader of the team of contractors was Rodney L. Joffe, who has regularly advised the Biden White House on cybersecurity and infrastructure policies. Until last month he was the chief cybersecurity officer

Excellent article. Thanks for posting.
All the people being discussed and indicted were identified back in 2017. The government contractors using spy information and coordinating with the Clinton campaign were all known. Unless Durham has something much more than being shown I don’t understand the slow response. The Clinton cronies know what they did, and so do their enablers in the media and FBI. Unless Durham is going after the Mueller people, but I doubt that. No way would they touch the Obama administration. So what does he have?
“ Unless Durham has something much more than being shown I don’t understand the slow response.”
Really? It’s pretty simple. He’s deliberately slow walking it until Statutes of Limitations kick in.

“Tea Leaves “ April Lorenzen is the government contractor under investigation.
IIRC, it was the illegal activity of these “contractors” that came to the attention of Admiral Michael Rogers who noticed the vast increase in database accesses.
Apparently, contractors are told exactly where they can go in, and what exactly they can listen to. Often for the purposes of translation and such, and they are not allowed to go outside those focused searches without approval.
These unauthorized accesses began as early as 2012, and in 2015, shot through the roof.
And not by “a little”. They increased by a LOT.
When Admiral Rogers was notified of this increase in spring of 2016, THAT was when he suspended all access by contractors while the issue was looked at, but by then, the damage was done.
On the basis of that alone, Admiral Rogers should be viewed as a Patriot.
So why is he indicting people? Just keep investigating like the Mueller investigation.
“So why is he indicting people?”
To fool the Qballs into thinking he’s actually doing something.
And it’s working.

The FBI has been commie corrupt for decades...
Yep Debbie wasserman Schultz is deeply involved in this mess. Remember the awan brothers?
I know, I know, I know! Have Durham write a REPORT! 🤓🙄
Could cybersecurity experts have done other things while Trump was president?
Once again the poor FIBBERS are victims according to Durham. What a fraud.
Interesting...
Like molasses in January, going up a hill? 😃
And that is not easy.
Screw the contractors. . .who gave them the order. .THAT’S who should fry!
With so many dots to connect in the Clinton case it’s takes a lot of people and time.
The Clintons have mastered that game many years ago.
Vince Foster kicks box.
SNAIL’S PACE!

Give the man a cigar!
This strongly feels like Durham is doing what Merrick Garland wants him to do. Very weak, one count Indictment, too.
