Police in Rio de Janeiro have recovered a vast trove of Nazi uniforms, memorabilia and weapons worth almost $3.5 million at the home of an alleged pedophile, according to reports.

Aylson Proenca Doyle Linhares, 58, was arrested Tuesday after a couple in his neighborhood accused him of abusing their 12-year-old son, according to Police Commissioner Luis Armond, Agence France-Presse reported.

Police said they found more than 1,000 Nazi-related items at the suspect’s home, including images and busts of Adolf Hitler, uniforms, publications, paintings, insignia, flags, and medals of the Third Reich, according to Reuters.

I know a very decent Christian man who has some Nazi memorabilia he collected over the years. He also has Allied memorabilia from WW II.

In no way do I believe collecting it makes you a bad person.

WW II and WW I were two wars we should all be fascinated over. Even more so would be Civil War memoriabilia, for which many fold more people from both sides died.

40-50 years ago there was a 60 Minutes report about how the US Army had stockpiled large amounts of nazi art. they had restorers keeping the paintings in good shape, so that when the stench of Nazism had worn off(maybe in a few centuries) they can return the art as historical artifacts.

So a pervert has also collected nazi memorabilia. Lots of normal people collect it as they do the Japanese war material.

From the article:

“ Police are investigating the suspect’s connection to Nazi and other far-right groups, he said, adding that a museum would need to be found for the collection.”

Nazis are NOT far right, they are FAR LEFT! (Democrats)

I have all the nazi souvenirs my father picked up on his tour with Patton.

Uniforms, boots, guns, insignia, etc. most of it has never been worn, ever. That was a hobby many soldiers had. Collect the stuff that was new and unused.

Rick from Pawnstars knew not to trade in Nazi stuff. Bad for business. It is the only war memorabilia that will get you canceled, as an individual. Japanese and Confederate stuff: no problem.

Major gun shows have always had booths where war memorabilia is sold. It’s not illegal, at least in the US.

It used to be a thing. Back in the 60s and 70s, there were typically dozens of such memorabilia booths at gun shows. Perfectly normal as it was a significant part of our history.

That war changed the United States forever, and not all of it good.

All pedophiles are democrats. Democrats are Nazis without uniforms.

There is nothing inherently wrong with collecting memorabilia be it Nazi stuff, Beanie Babies, or whatever.

The media just seizes on details like this so they can try to justify two minutes of hate.

a vast trove of Nazi uniforms, memorabilia and weapons worth almost $3.5 million

How on earth would they know how much all that stuff is worth? Did they sell it on eBay already?

Thanks, I was wondering if it was illegal here and if so, why?
Not that I’m a supporter of Nazi stuff but it is after all, historical.
